10+ Tricks Manufacturers Use to Fool Their Customers

Almost every day, we see food companies attempt to save money at the expense of customers. Things like dodgy packaging with uneven filling, misleading colorful pictures, and even fake promotions no longer surprise anyone. But now and again, manufacturers simply go too far. But we get rewarded with indignant comments and sly humor from Internet users as a result.
We at Bright Side couldn’t resist making a compilation of such posts. And we agree that it’s hard not to feel perplexed and cheated after having fallen prey to these marketing shenanigans.
“Extra length means extra chips, right?”
“Here’s how a cauliflower looks after it’s peeled. The spoon is for size comparison!”
“I’ve read posts on the Internet, but I’ve never been tricked like this myself — until today!”
“Some boxes of chocolate only look impressive on the outside.”
“Tell me this spot wasn’t meant for one more chocolate!”
“I bet the gift packaging can easily accommodate another box of the same size!”
“I ordered these packs of cookies within 2 weeks of each other. By the way, they both cost the same.”
“Wait, so where’s the other half of the chicken?”
"The quality control department must’ve been napping or something!
“Oh, what nice-looking, trust-inducing — utterly misleading packaging!”
“It must’ve been this cookie’s prettier sibling that sat for the picture...”
“I genuinely thought that this phone had 2 cameras...until I took a peek under the casing!”
“This brand of air freshener appears to have lost some weight over the last few years!”
“The doughnuts that can’t be seen through the package have no glaze at all!”

I had exactly the same disappointment with these milka cookies :(
that's why you always check cauliflowers in the store before buying them
In Italy cauliflower are sold with much less leaves, so you can see how big it is. Never seen one that small!

I peel the leaves off the cauliflower in the store before I pay for it by the pound!
