While filming a movie or a series, becoming an actor and getting into the skin of a character can be a truly wonderful thing, but at some point, filming comes to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye to it all. Perhaps as a reminder of a special time in their lives, their roles, or the production they were in, some actors take a souvenir from filming with them.

At Bright Side, we want to share the objects that some actors took home as souvenirs from their great projects. And some of them are very unexpected.

1. The complete Deadpool costume now belongs to Ryan Reynolds. He stated that he waited 10 years to play this character and that he wanted a souvenir.

2. Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth did not want to leave Thor’s set empty-handed and took home 5 hammers.

3. Bryan Cranston couldn’t resist taking the sunglasses and Walter White’s trademark hat from the set of Breaking Bad.

4. Julie Andrews, the iconic actress who first played Mary Poppins on film, confessed in an interview that she took the magical nanny’s iconic shoes and had them filled with sand as doorstops.

5. Friends is a series that still gives people something to talk about today, despite many years. Perhaps this is how actor Matt LeBlanc, who gave life to Joey Tribbiani, felt as he wanted to keep those times with him and took the whiteboard that was behind the apartment door.

6. In the legendary 1984 movie, The Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, the main character, had a nice car. This car was a gift to the actor, who took it home as a souvenir.

7. Tom Hiddleston, in charge of bringing Thor’s brother to life, was shown in an interview wearing the scarf Loki wore when asked if he had taken anything as a souvenir.

8. The teapot that Jim gives Pam in The Office ended up in the hands of actor John Krasinski. Apparently, the props manager sent it to him years later, along with other items.

9. In How I Met Your Mother, Ted gives a blue horn to Robin, his great love. In real life, when the series ended, the actors were given the option to choose whatever they wanted from the set props and, sure enough, Josh Radnor got the mythical blue French horn.

10. Adam Driver revealed during an interview that when he finished the last Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker, he took some memorabilia from the set. He got permission from director J.J. Abrams to keep some Kylo Ren memorabilia, including the famous lightsaber.

11. In High School Musical 2, Troy (Zac Efron) gives Gabriela (Vanessa Hudgens) a necklace with the initial of her name, a “T.” Vanessa still keeps it as a souvenir.

12. Just like her castmate in How I Met Your Mother, Cobie Smulders also took a souvenir from the filming of that great series. In her case, she opted for the denim jacket worn by Robin Sparkles from the younger version of herself.

13. Reese Witherspoon became, on a couple of occasions, the best-known and most stylish lawyer on the big screen. The actress left no stone unturned and in Legally Blonde 2, she had the opportunity to take her character’s entire closet home, as well as dozens of pairs of shoes.

If you were an actor in a film or series, which one would it be and what memory would you take from the set?
