Later in 2018, Angelina Jolie was inspired by her look at this fashion moment on the BAFTA 2018 red carpet.

2. Beyoncé’s performance outfit at the BET Awards worn by Zendaya

Beyoncé’s pop star look inspired Zendaya’s carpet look for the 2021 BET Awards. Beyoncé made this a statement look in her first solo performance of her single, “Crazy in Love” at the same awards show back in 2003.

Zendaya paid homage to the iconic look by making her own version that featured a long, flowing skirt with a leg slit. This throwback dress took us to the same ceremony a few years earlier and showed us that Beyoncé’s style is timeless.

3. Jennifer Garner’s look in 13 Going on 30 worn by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande channeled the iconic 2000s movie 13 Going on 30 in her debut on The Voice. The singer wore the vintage dress originally worn by Jennifer Garner in the film. With a full-inspired look, Ariana Grande gave some strong retro vibes.

Mariah Carey showed off her early 2000s style in this special butterfly top at the VH1 Divas concert.

Singer H.E.R is known for serving iconic throwback looks as a tribute to her idols. For the red carpet of the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, she chose to inspire her outfit in an ensemble similar to the one worn by Aretha Franklin at the American Music Awards in 1976.

Wearing a sequin-embellished yellow and orange jumpsuit, the H.E.R singer paid homage to Aretha Franklin’s look, adding a personal touch with her signature sunglasses.

11. Marilyn Monroe’s gown worn by Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish surprised most of us at her first Met Gala in 2021, serving a sophisticated look inspired by Marilyn Monroe. The dress she wore featured a corset and a 15-foot floating train carried by five people. Billie Eilish brought to mind images of Monroe to inspire her dress during the design process. The result was a mix between Barbie vibes and a throwback to the style of Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe.
