Some I definitely believe. Hairstyles and clothing has differed more between ages than it did in the past. Their faces may look more mature emotionally, but I wouldn’t say older. I think there’s definitely a slight difference in perceived age when photos are black and white or sepia. The affordability of cameras/cell phones with cameras has plenty to do with it as well. Photos were perhaps taken with more formal(than the current idea of “casual,” even if people wore button down shirts/suits or nicer/plainer dresses daily, even sometimes poorer classes still wore what we consider more formal today in some cultures/countries) Now we wear all kinds of clothes and photograph it. There were still “selfies” but we are more expected to take photos much more often than when it was simply self portraits by photographers. A small reason can also be based on what’s going on in the world, a person may have been thinner being a soldier or during times when certain foods were not available to the mass public. Not everyone could easily get milk and other rationed things that we take for granted now. My grandmother stood in very long lines to get milk for my mother and uncle during WWII. Ha- I didn’t have to over analyze. I could have just said wow. But the “aged much faster” isn’t exactly what I agree with.

I'm just glad I live in this time... getting old is already bad enough, imagine getting it earlier!

I guess this is why some 50 year olds look a lot younger than they used to in the past
