Have you ever had to leave home one hour before work so that you get there on time? Did you travel by car, bus, or train? Whatever your situation we wouldn't risk complaining to this young man who used to walk 5.5 miles every day to be at work on time, and then cover the same distance to return home. By the way, his shift began at 4 am.

Trenton Lewis works at UPS and he's never been late and never complains. He's especially never talked about his personal hardships or the reason he was walking to his new job and waking up in the middle of the night to get there on time.

The secret of this 21-year-old man's powerful motivation is his 14-month-old daughter. According to Trenton, there is no one else to take care of his baby girl, he says, "Whatever she needs, I'm the person who is supposed to provide it for her."

For more than 6 months, Trenton's walks were unknown to his co-workers. Sometimes he'd be lucky enough to get a ride from drivers passing by, but usually he had to cover the distance on foot, no matter what the weather was like. His pride kept him from sharing his problems with his coworkers. "I didn't want to lose my job. I did it for my daughter, that was it."

Luckily, his secret became known. Spouses Kenneth and Patricia Bryant, who had worked at UPS for 40 years, were the first ones who found out about his difficulties. They were touched by the young dad's perseverance and his devotion to his child.

They told Trenton's story to their other co-workers and decided to buy a car for the young man. The news spread at lightning speed. According to Kenneth, even those colleagues who had never had never known Trenton were willing to help. Soon enough they managed to collect $2,000.

Once a car was purchased and all preparations were finished, his co-workers asked him to come to a brief union meeting. Then Kenneth took the car keys out of his pocket and handed them to Trenton.

His stoic face gave way to disbelief and then a grateful smile. He was happy and thanked his colleagues.

"It's my first car. I have amazing people around me," Trenton said in excitement.

The first thing Trenton did in his new car is take his daughter for a short drive around town.

Trenton says he will never forget the kindness and support of his co-workers. He believes that something very good will happen in their lives too. And we believe the same. How about you?
