Russia-based photographer and freelance digital artist, Victor Zastolskiy, combines the incompatible by mixing different genres and styles in his work. For his images — mostly interiors — he usually takes the shot, but brings it up a notch by editing it. He adds multiple layers, including new 3D elements, in order to create collages, his favorite genre. You can see a selection of his imaginative and sometimes bizarre work in this article from Depositphotos.

The artist’s background includes visual arts, interior design, and computer games. All of these fields heavily influenced his artistic style. Initially, this multidisciplinary artist wasn’t very interested in photography, but started to use its limitations for the foundation of his digital images.

“It’s like cooking — if you choose incompatible ingredients, your dish may either end up in the trash can or you can create a groundbreaking recipe,” says Zastolskiy.

Victor creates complex, visually stunning work that reflects the imaginary world of the artist. It’s pretty unusual for stock photography and certainly entertaining for anyone that appreciates both photography and digital arts. You can find more of his work in his portfolio.
