While most people retire in their 60s, celebrities sometimes decide to quit the entertainment industry much younger than that. Gwyneth Paltrow, who celebrated her 51st birthday last month, has already taken a hiatus from the acting world. But recently, Paltrow revealed that she has good reasons to completely disappear from the public eye.

Gwyneth Paltrow discussed her future plans in a recent interview.

In a recent conversation with Bustle magazine, Gwyneth Paltrow shared her intentions for the future. The renowned actress expressed, “I will literally disappear from public life,” while discussing her retirement plans. She further added, “No one will ever see me again.” While these news might come as a shock, Paltrow has already taken a hiatus from acting before, to focus more on her brand Goop.

The actress had already made a decision to mostly retire from acting.

After her announcement that she would be taking a break from acting, Paltrow only appeared in smaller roles. But a couple of years later, the star announced she doesn’t miss acting, explaining that “the team is always trying to get me to do a movie, but I really love what I do,” referring to her business ventures.

Gwyneth Paltrow finds it hard to juggle her private life and her business career.

“I’m in a phase where I feel like things are just extra, extra messy because I have so much to do,” she explained in the interview, adding “I’m trying to keep the domestic stuff on track, and we have a lot going on at the company...” Paltrow also revealed that as her son and stepson are both approaching adulthood, the college application process is adding even more stress to her life.

Despite her love for her brand, Paltrow plans to sell it in a few years.

At present, Gwyneth Paltrow is still directing her energy toward her wellness brand, Goop, which she established back in 2008. However, she has a planned transition in the works, as she aspires to divest the company in “a few more years.” Following this, Paltrow intends to shift her focus to matters closer to home, candidly acknowledging that managing the delicate equilibrium between work and personal life can be quite challenging.

Retirement doesn’t really have an age in the acting world. Mara Wilson, who played Matilda as a little girl retired from acting at 13, and Macaulay Culkin quit the acting world at 14.
