“We Met When She Was 18”, Couple With Nearly 40-Years Age Gap Proves Love Always Wins

A 24-years old TikTok blogger is sharing an insight into her life after falling in love with a wealthy man who is nearly 40 years older than her. Semie met Claudio on a dating website six years ago. Now the couple lives an extravagant and lavish lifestyle together, spending their days between New Jersey, where Claudio’s business is, and the Dominican Republic, where they have a condo.

The quick start of the relationship caused suspicion among the couple’s relatives and friends.

Semie admits that her previous relationship wasn’t perfect, “Before I met Claudio, I was working in a small restaurant as a waitress. I was in a really bad relationship. I broke up, and a few months later went on a date with Claudio.”

The couple quickly found common ground. Despite the age gap, they shared common interests, “We did some yoga, and it went from there. We met up regularly and then when he invited me to a festival, that’s when we fell in love! I moved in with him within three months.”

“I met Semie when she was 18 years old,” opens up Claudio. “I had been married for 18 years, and I was newly single. I want to date someone who’s not going to be very demanding,” he adds. But Claudio’s daughters, 33 and 34, were wary about that match. “They told me, ’Dad, please don’t date women younger than us.’”

Semie’s friends were also concerned about this union, “They weren’t sure about him, and before our first date they kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to meet him as they didn’t think he was very trustworthy.”

Despite the tough beginning, over time family and friends were able to understand them.

Semie has formed a great relationship with Claudio’s daughters and their kids, “I love being a grandmother. I’ve skipped the step of having kids and gone straight to grandchildren.” She even has a good bond with his ex-wife, “Claudio also had a very amicable divorce, so meeting his wife was fine. We have a great relationship and she even lives next door. I feel really accepted even though I’m so much younger.”

Her friends and family also accepted her choice. “Now, they adore him. I didn’t tell my family for a while, but now they are really supportive and realize we’re in love,” Semie admits.

They openly shares their love story on social media to prove once again that love has no age.

The couple receives much criticism from strangers online, who assume that their relationship is built only on profit. “I’m 24, he’s 60 — and he didn’t kidnap me,” Semie explains her deliberate choice to haters, who speak negatively about her boyfriend.

She keeps explaining herself to those who call her a gold digger, “We’re all gold diggers. I mean, no one’s out there digging for pebbles. I think it’s a good thing I have a man who wants to make sure I’m financially stable.” Claudio confirms, “It doesn’t bother me one bit, I know Semie, our relationship and what’s going on.”

The couple gives advice to anyone in an age-gap relationship.

Semie says, “In an age-gap relationship, you’re always going to have judges but be unapologetically yourself and show them exactly why their judges are wrong.” Claudio adds, “And always strive to make a mutually beneficial relationship. No matter what relationship you’re in.”

In the end, Semie makes a sweet confession, “It’s like living a teenage dream being with you. Like you’re happy, you’re young, money’s never an issue, anything I can imagine is just at the tip of my fingers, and I get to do it with my best friend.”
