Kelis, 43, Speaks Out on Rumors She Has a Romance With Bill Murray, 72

Recently, online rumors about Bill Murray’s relationship with Kelis have appeared. And various people, including their friends, began to voice their opinions. Finally, Kelis herself answered the claims in a rather funny yet fascinating manner.

They both are frequently seen in the same places.

Kelis and Bill Murray have reportedly been ’getting close for a while’ after they first met in the United States. In particular, the 72-year-old Ghostbusters star was spotted on a number of the most recent shows where Kelis performed.

He even followed her to London, where again they were both seen at the same hotel and Murray’s been to several of her performances. No wonder that it got people in the industry talking. One insider even added, “They’ve clearly hit it off.”

Seems like shared grief brought them together.

Bill Murray recently mourned the unexpected loss of his ex-wife, Jennifer Butler. They split in 2008, but they were together for more than a decade and have four sons. Two other kids Murray has from the previous marriage with Margaret Kelly.

Kelis also had two marriages. Her first child she had with her then-husband, Nas, and two more kids with her late spouse, Mike Mora. Unfortunately, he also died after a six-month battle with cancer in March 2022.

The pair posed for a cozy snap backstage at the Mighty Hoopla festival in Brockwell Park, South London. And their friend says that they definitely have that “common bond between them.” Probably, one of the reasons they went so well together is that they both share relatively recent bereavement.

Kelis finally breaks silence on romance with Bill Murray.

Following the rumors, under one of her Instagram posts, Kelis was asked, “Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? What is he doing with all that?” Enjoying her vacation, the singer said, “lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”

Kelis was accused of using Murray for fame.

Some trolls even accused Kelis of using Bill Murray for fame. Under one of her bikini photos they wrote, “Bill got you out by riding his wave lol media is destroying y’all.” Kelis responded, “Lol yeah maybe for now.”

Then the singer hit it back saying that the best part is they are both blessed, rich and happy. “So who’s really laughing now that’s funny,” she added and went on enjoying her beach vacation.

All in all, they definitely have fun together.

“Whatever it is that has brought them together,” added their friend, “and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap.” And it seems like no one truly would doubt it.

At 72, Murray is almost 30 years older than Kelis, but this fact seems like don’t bother any of them at all. And hopefully they are not the only ones who could show us all that love and affection may know no limits.
