According to Dr. Gary Chapman, there are 5 love languages. This means there are 5 ways in which we can express love to our significant others. Those 5 languages are words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch.

1. “My father built my little sister a world-class playhouse in the mid-’90s.”

2. “I made my boyfriend a cake.”

3. “I made a piñata for a retired postal worker.”

4. “My 90-year-old neighbor hasn’t walked her dog in years so I volunteered to do it for her. So proud of Buddy’s weight loss!”

5. “I decorated my parents house again.”

6. “My aunt brought turkey-shaped butter to our Thanksgiving dinner.”

7. “16 inches were donated to Wigs for Kids.”

8. “My fiancée got me an early V-Day gift representing our ’strong and dependable relationship.’”

9. “Me and my boyfriend spent the whole day setting up an art gallery for our gerbil.”

10. “My boyfriend wanted a shark cake for his birthday.”

11. “A minimalistic portrait of my parents with their signatures”

12. “Don’t ever tell Grandma you don’t have grocery money.”

13. “My 78-year-old grandfather got his first tattoo! He hasn’t been able to wear his wedding ring for years, so this is a perfect choice.”

14. “My grandfather ’Buddy’ passed away.”

“Shortly after he passed, my grandmother began using a cane and affectionately named it after him. She now takes ’him’ with her everywhere. I found out tonight that not only does he go with her everywhere, but she also tucks him in at night in the bed that is right next to hers.”

15. “My childhood doctor’s office has a mini door installed for younger patients.”

16. “Built a bunk bed for my wife’s grandchildren for when they visit.”

17. “We made a colorful ice block igloo. Even brought in a table and chairs tonight and had a pizza party snuggled in blankets.”

18. “I’m at home, sick. My 5-year-old daughter made this and slid it under my door.”

19. “The 1964 Ford Country Squire my grandparents bought new is still in the family and owned by me. 3 generations.”

20. “My mom had us do this too, except not with our toys, just hands and feet.”

21. “Yesterday was our 5th wedding anniversary. A lot has changed, but we’re still each other’s favorite person.”

22. “At 29 and 31, my husband and I solidified our decision to be childfree, and raise our doggos instead!”
