Paul Newman and Robert Redford became friends while starring together in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Their friendship lasted for 40 years until Newman died from lung cancer in 2008. As Redford commented at that time, “I have lost a real friend. My life — and this country — is better for his being in it.”

12. Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder

Sarah Jessica Parker and Andy Cohen first met each other on The Morning Show at CBS, where Andy was working as a producer. After one year of meeting, they became close friends, and they continue to go to the Met Gala together every year.

15. Tom Holland and Zendaya

Tom Holland and Zendaya became close friends on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. As Zendaya once told Holland was “literally one of my best friends.” However, their close friendship eventually caused romantic feelings and the two started to date this year.
