Interesting. I generally try to read most articles on here, but I was particularly interested in this one. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time lately is find South Korean moves on Amazon Prime (at least 3 stars.. I’ve found I like many 3 star movies of any language actually, as long as I like the description!) I want to branch out and watch other foreign films, but so far more South Korean and Chinese movies have piqued my interest. Some of which were made in multiple countries, such as “Beautiful Accident/Nightmare” and “Miss Granny.” (I have two versions of Beautiful Accident in my watchlist but only one of Miss Granny is available. It has a LOT of versions and I hope to watch them all one day!! Great story and very funny, I definitely recommend it)
My first subtitled was “Little Forest,” as it reminds me of one of the aspects of slice of life anime I enjoy, the respect and care with cooking. Honestly, I also HIGHLY enjoy the respect many Asian cultures have for nature.
Today is Saturday and the ones when my husband has to work, I get up and drink my coffee/eat breakfast while adding subtitled movies to my watchlist. Surprisingly, my husband is an anime geek and has got me into many (mostly slice of life with the occasional fighting/action if the characters are well-rounded) although he watches a lot more subbed and I prefer more dubbed.(That way I can enjoy the animation and beautiful scenery instead of reading) I love identifying the other characters the voice actor has played and looking it up to see if I’m right!
Sometimes you get tired of most modern American comedy movies either being stupid or too raunchy. And the romantic movies are.. I don’t know how to describe it.(Although I will watch almost any Christmas movie.. they’re in another category for me lol) If you’re not quite into, let’s say romantic French foreign films and want to see some new actresses for a change, or some that aren’t insanely made up all the time, watch some South Korean films!! Many female characters are sweeter than what’s trendy in American movies. (I had spaces for paragraphs in this to not seem as long-winded, but saving it makes it all one massive comment =\ I am very sorry!!)
#12 isn’t 100% true. I’ve seen many couples who aren’t the same weight. Although it is encouraged to date someone who is thin and an “appropriate height” the advice definitely isn’t taken by everyone.
