How to confuse people looking to live a healthy lifestyle.
The Difference between Good Calories and Bad Calories is HUGE.
Good calories are those that provide lean-protein, healthy-fats and complex carbs from fresh whole foods and quality meal replacements and supplements. Bad calories are those that don't provide your body with good nutrition.

An out an out superb pictorial article.
Very justified and very practical.
To be more precise after doing all sorts of diet or exercise regimes...
I just did this simple thing...
Eat slowly, eat good fibre and less fatty, sleep properly and to adequate required hours. Walk daily.
Lost close to 9 kgs in just 55 days.
And that too when I never quitted eating anything except for few very specific items like deep fried food and food with excessive sugars.
Author of this picture bite is clearly not aware of how food processing affect hormonal balance, satiety and health outcomes. Most slides with their comments are half truths which are hard to dissmiss as lie, but clearly misleading, so it's hard to decode if the intentions of author are not malignant. It's like he tries to push sugar industry agenda, just like coca-cola company advertising: 'drink our sugar and be active, we support health' kind of BS, which also keeps vegan and non-gluten marketed processed junk foods on the market.
It is true that energy balance/calories are most important in weight maintance, but in reality satiety and hormonal balance is at rule of food consumption and nutrient content is primery to metabolic health. Counting 'empty' calories is road to being lean but unhealthy. Stay with real foods, avoid incretins disturbing flour, pro-inflammatory fried and hydrogenated oils and peroxidated heat processed foods deprived from enzymes, vitamins and fiber. Real complex carbs and even starches are ok if consumed with antioxidants from dark leafy greens that protects lipids from oxidation (all blue zones are based on those diets), but if you are already seriously metabolically damaged by western eating pattern, with diagnosed diabetes/carb intolerance, keto might be better option.
