In 2017, many people wrote about Lara and Mara Bawar when a photoshoot of the twins went viral. It's no wonder, because they show the true diversity of beauty and prove that our special features are a gift. The girls are still being talked about today. They've managed to stay in the fashion world for a long time, and recently amazed their fans with several really bright pictures.

We at Bright Side have been subscribing to Lara, Mara, and Sheila's Instagram page for a long time. Check out their new pictures.

The photoshoot that made Lara and Mara famous was called "Rare Flowers." Albino twins are actually super rare: according to statistics, the probability that an albino child is born is 1:17,000 add twin into the equation and the probability becomes even lower.

These girls were born to a pretty normal family and thanks to Vinicius Terranova the entire world found out about them.

Now Lara, Mara, and Sheila work with Nike, Moschino, and Bazaar Kids. Recently, the Malaville company has released dolls that look like the sisters so that girls have a choice when picking out toys — Barbie or Lara, Mara, and Sheila.

Albino people are still discriminated against, even in the modern world which seems to be ready to admit that all of us are different and this is what makes all of us beautiful. The worst situation is in African countries where people who have this genetic disease are believed to be cursed and are often used in rituals.

Lara and Mara make the topic of being albino less taboo, this is why their mission is so important.

Albinos often have to deal with extreme sensitivity to light and weak eyesight. That's why even a photograph with a flash is a big deal for albino people. Lara and Mara's eyes are closed in most pictures, which makes them even more moving.

Despite their young age (the twins are now 12 years old), they inspire many people. Every new photo of the girls is another validation that believing in ourselves makes us great.

"Diversity is so beautiful we couldn’t think of a world where everyone looked and acted the same." This post the sisters wrote on their Instagram page is so true.

We are absolutely sure that this is just the beginning of their story and the sisters will amaze us with their beauty, courage, and persistence many times over.

We really want to know what happens to the sisters next because Lara, Mara, and Sheila are not just cute children but are now an example for millions of small girls who are afraid to be themselves.
