At 49, Victoria Beckham Says She Prefers Looking Older and Doesn’t Want to “Turn Back the Clock”

Staying true to her Posh nickname, Victoria launched her own fashion brand in 2008. Since then, her passion project has evolved into a respectable fashion house that presents at New York and London Fashion Weeks. In addition, Beckham started the beauty brand Victoria Beckham Beauty, further solidifying her status as a style icon.

She struggled with her appearance when she was younger.

Despite so many accomplishments in the fashion and beauty industry and being one of the most beautiful women in the world, Victoria has admitted to struggling with her self-esteem when she was younger. She said: “I was the kind of young woman who would look in the mirror and see what needed to be improved upon, as opposed to what actually looked OK.”

And while being a perfectionist is right for Beckham’s entrepreneurial passions, she never gave herself a break. She further explained: “I’ve always been quite tough on myself, but because of that I’ve also always strived to be the best version of myself.”

She finally fell in love with herself and refuses to look back.

Today, Victoria is 49, and she has finally learned to let go of her insecurities and accept herself as she is. Beckham shared: “I wouldn’t want to be 25 again.” She added that she’s learned how to do her makeup to fit her aging appearance, and she absolutely loves it, but she’s “not trying to turn back the clock.”

Seems that Beckham is 100% comfortable with aging, and it almost seems like she even prefers it. As she said: “I am comfortable with who I am, I accept how I look, I make the best of what I have. I feel, professionally and personally, really accomplished at 49... I like how it feels being older.”
