Beyoncé has her fans’ backs! The hit singer made sure concertgoers in her Washington DC tour stop had a safe journey home following a night of dance and music. In fact, she paid $100,000, so the city’s metro stations extended their working hours past the show’s end, after it faced a few bumps in the road.

“Due to inclement weather that may delay the start of tonight’s Renaissance World Tour at FedExField, Metro will extend the last train by an extra hour beyond the extended closing previously announced,” the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said in a statement. “The additional hour will be funded by the Tour to cover the $100,000 cost to run more trains, keep all 98 stations open for customers to exit, and other operational expenses,” they added, confirming Beyoncé’s act.

Bad weather prompted the stadium to issue a shelter-in-place notice, cautioning attendees about lightning. “Due to lightning in the area, we are currently under a shelter in place order,” the
FedEx Field wrote on Twitter. “Fans outside of gates and in the parking lots are asked to return to their cars. All fans inside of the stadium are asked to shelter in place under covered concourse areas and ramps until further notice.”

Eventually, the situation improved, granting fans the green light to enjoy the show. However, the temporary halt of 2 hours caused enough of a delay for the Single Ladies-singer to worry about how the audience would get home afterwards.

Beyoncé isn’t the only A-lister in the music industry who’s looking out for those who support them somehow. Taylor Swift recently made headlines for giving her Eras Tour truck drivers $100,000 bonuses.
