Paris Hilton and Carter Reum Keep Hope Alive for a Baby Girl With 20 Frozen Boy Embryos
Paris Hilton has been very open about her embryo freezing and surrogacy journey. In January 2023, Hilton and her husband welcomed their first child, a son, via surrogacy. However, she has expressed her desire for a daughter, revealing she has 20 frozen boy embryos. Let’s see how the couple’s journey into parenthood has been unfolding.
It was her dream to become a mother.
Hilton has always been open about her desire to have children, and she’s spoken about her fertility journey. In January 2023, this dream came true, and the couple welcomed their first baby boy using surrogacy.
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother, and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other,” the new mom revealed. “We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
They had their first child via IVF.
Hilton has always been very vocal about her desire to have children, but she also recognizes the importance of taking control of her reproductive health. In a recent interview, she revealed that she and her husband, Carter Reum, decided to take their union to the next level.
“Carter and I had already been talking about the future, and then the world was shut down, so I was like, ’What do you think about us making embryos?’” she shared. “And he said, ’Yeah, let’s do it.’”
The couple chose to freeze 20 eggs.
All of these frozen embryos are boys. However, Hilton is still hoping to have a daughter and is planning to undergo another round of IVF treatments to achieve her dream of having a family.
“And we’ve done it 7 times,” Hilton added. “I have all boys. I have 20 boys.”
The couple is trying for a baby girl after the birth of their first son.
With the desire to expand their family by welcoming a baby girl, they continue producing embryos in the hopes of conceiving a daughter.
“I just went through the process again a month ago, so I’m waiting for the results to see if there are any girls,” Hilton candidly shared.
Hilton and Reum want a big family.
Paris Hilton and Carter Reum were overjoyed to welcome their first child, a baby boy. They were inundated with congratulations when Hilton announced the news through a close-up photo of the baby gripping her thumb via Instagram. She heartwarmingly captioned it, “You are already loved beyond words.”
Initially, the couple had aspirations of having twins, with Hilton stating, “I think that would be amazing.” It’s also worth noting that they plan to have 3 or 4 additional children.
She’s helping break the stigma surrounding infertility treatments.
Hilton’s candidness regarding her experience with embryo freezing has played a pivotal role in dispelling the stigma surrounding infertility treatments. In the past, such treatments were considered taboo, and countless women felt ashamed or uneasy talking about their infertility struggles.
Nevertheless, Hilton’s choice to publicize her narrative has facilitated the normalization of embryo freezing and other treatments. This, in turn, has encouraged women to seek assistance and the necessary resources to overcome their challenges without feeling hesitant or judged.
