12 Fashion Trends That Were Started by Celebrities

Living in a society that often prioritizes looking younger on the outside than feeling younger at heart, it can be challenging to resist the temptation and embrace every wrinkle and crease that adorns our faces. Actress Salma Hayek, who always looks flawless on the red carpet, is admired by many for her youthful and flawless appearance at age 56. In a recent social media post, she decided to show fans she’s not always in glam mode by showcasing herself in a more relatable light.
Hayek candidly discussed the impact of aging in a recent Instagram post. In a makeup-free selfie shared on Tuesday, the 56-year-old actress humorously acknowledged the presence of her white hairs and wrinkles, which she referred to as uninvited guests. “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” the actress wrote in the caption.
Hayek received accolades from numerous A-listers in the comment section, with supermodel Cindy Crawford expressing admiration by simply stating, “Beautiful.” Actress and director Olivia Wilde conveyed her appreciation through a red heart emoji accompanied by two fire emojis.
Aside from letting her curly hair run wild and free, Hayek doesn’t dye her locks and flaunts her “natural white hairs.” She has no patience for it, and second of all, she says, “I don’t want to spend what’s left of my youth pretending I’m younger and not enjoying life.”
She praises a cream with the main ingredient Tepezcohuite, which is popular in Mexico. It regenerates and promotes the growth of healthy skin, and it’s primarily used to treat burns. “This is why I have no Botox, no peels, no fillers. I only use my creams.”
Hayek’s grandmother was a cosmetologist who studied in Paris and dedicated her life to “keeping women beautiful.” Hayek shared, “I never wash my face in the morning, my grandma taught me that at night our skin replenishes the things we’ve lost during the day. Also, if I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up?”
Moreover, being on the go at all times and having a hectic schedule, the Mexican-American actress doesn’t have much time to exercise, however, someone she works with in London taught her how to maximize movement and hold her body in such a way that every task turns into a workout.
She is conscious of every motion — when she brushes her teeth, she holds her arms at shoulder height and walks up the stairs using her butt, not her knees. That is one of the many secrets behind her impressive glow and age-defying physique.
