Sharon Stone Breaks Down As She Reveals Losing Half of Her Money

Sharon Stone has been going through a financial crisis. The 65-year-old actress couldn’t hold back her tears as she was on stage during a recent event. And even though this news might come as a shock, it reminds us that even Hollywood stars can face money issues just like the rest of us. Stone, who received the Courage Award at an event for the Women’s Cancer Fund, took the stage and gave a heartfelt speech. As she was encouraging the gala audience to give money for the good cause, she noted, ’’I know that thing that you have to get on and figure out how to text the money is difficult.’’ She then added ’’I’m a technical idiot, but I can write a check,’’ as she acknowledged that it took courage to give money.

In fact, Stone didn’t shy away from publicly opening up about her own financial struggles.

The 65-year-old was overwhelmed with emotions and got teary-eyed as she revealed, ’’I just lost half my money [...], and that doesn’t mean that I’m not here.’’

She also lost her brother recently.

Aside from her money struggles, Stone recently had to face another huge tragedy. Just a few weeks ago, her younger brother Patrick passed away from a heart attack at the age of 57.

The heartbroken actress posted an old photo on Instagram of her wrapping her arm around her sibling with the caption: ’’RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone.’’

She also got emotional as she posted a video to confirm the sad news. Sharon thanked her fans for their support ’’in this time of immeasurable grief [...]’’

Her brother’s death followed another devastating event in the family. Back in 2021, Patrick’s own son River, Sharon’s nephew, passed away at 11 months old from “total organ failure.”

Despite it all, Stone is choosing to smile.

Even though she’s faced with all these tragic events and challenges lately, the actress still looks at the bright side and tries to add a dash of humor whenever she can.
