7 Celebrities Who Wore the Same Outfit More Than Once and Looked Amazing

There’s an invisible guideline in the celebrity’s world pressuring them always to look a certain way. This unspoken rule outlines that “public people shouldn’t wear the same clothes twice” — it’s considered “inconvenient”. However, there are a number of public figures confident enough to solemnly ignore this “rule” and not fret about appearing in the same look on different occasions. So, if you like a certain dress and feel comfortable wearing it, why not put it on again (and again, and again)?

At Bright Side, we always celebrate those who dare to stand by their personal choices and tastes. So let’s remember together 7 cases when celebrities felt no shame to parade their favorite garments at different times and felt wonderful about it.

1. Padma Lakshmi

Padma Lakshmi looked stunning in this red dress by J. Mendel at the 2018 Emmy Awards ceremony. However, for some people, this image looked familiar. All because Padma had already shown up in this dress at the 2017 Vogue India Women of the Year Award ceremony. The actress explained she was honoring the work that went into making the dress. For Lakshmi, wearing it again would only show how valuable the garment was.

2. Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell shone in her one-of-a-kind silver Versace dress at the Fragrance Foundation Awards ceremony in 2015. However, only a trained fashionista’s eye would remember that it had been 17 years since Naomi first put on this dress, which debuted in 1998. Yet, despite the big time gap, the outfit looked just as stunning as before.

3. Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren loved her black & green floral printed Dolce & Gabbana dress so much that she often wore between 2013 and 2015. It was this dress that she was wearing at the premiere performances of Finding Neverland and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as at the Jameson Empire Film Awards ceremony. Thanks to cleverly chosen cardigans, accessories, and shoes, Helen made every new appearance look unique and different from the others while keeping her elegant and traditional style.

4. Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon showed up in this little black dress with bold graphic patterns at the premiere of The Last of Robin Hood on the second day of the 2013 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival. Little less than 2 years later, the actress repeated her look while attending the Broadway premiere of the musical Hamilton in New York.

5. Sophia Loren

Italian legend Sophia Loren wore this elegant black dress with transparent sleeves at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2010. One year later, she greeted guests gathered to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Italian Unification wearing the same dress.

6. Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst showed up in her Christian Lacroix lace dress at the Vanity Fair party for The Oscars in 2004. 13 years later, the actress unashamedly repeated her wonderful look during an event held by Maison Chopard at Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris.

7. Anna Wintour

To top it off, we bring the one and only Editor in Chief of Vogue Magazine — Anna Wintour — repeating the same look! Considered one of the most influential figures in the fashion world, Wintour first put on her Lanvin flowery dress at the Moët & Chandon 270th Anniversary ceremony in 2013. One month later, she appeared in the same dress at the Yves Saint Laurent show during Paris Fashion Week.
