My parents were toxic towards me (especially my mother) they're both out of my life and I totally love it!! 💯
Why You Should Cut Toxic People Out of Your Life (Even If They Are Your Parents)

After realizing that there is a toxic person in your life, the next essential step is to let go of them. However, that is easier said than done and sometimes we choose to stay in bad relationships instead of cutting people off. Doing so can harm us in many ways and seriously impact our daily activities.
Bright Side has identified the reasons why it is important to cut toxic people out for good.
1. It can affect you physically.
According to experts, being in a toxic relationship impacts more than just our mental health. People who stay in bad relationships tend to be at a higher risk of developing heart problems. They may also have other problems like high blood pressure, increased sugar levels, and obesity.
2. It can shatter your self-esteem.

Keeping up with toxic behavior can, in turn, damage your self-worth and make you believe that you deserve it and this is as good as it gets. The negativity won’t let you see that you’re capable of doing great things and worthy of unconditional love which can also lead to anxiety, stress, and depression.
3. It makes you overly dependent on others.
Toxic people like to make all the important decisions themselves, even for you, trying to control every aspect of your life. When that happens, you slowly lose your individuality and find yourself struggling to make decisions on your own.
4. It makes you neglect your needs.
Bad relationships can make you give up your favorite hobbies, without you even realizing it. Doing everything for the other person’s convenience can make you neglect what you desire. It can lead to you sacrificing your time, health, and even appearance.
5. It can make it harder for you to trust others.

Being around toxic people can make you believe that everyone is the same, changing your perspective of the world. You might develop trust issues and hesitate to give others a chance, which can impact your future relationships and your chance at a happy life.
Have you ever been in a toxic relationship? How did you get out of it?
