And the news came as an even bigger shock given that Cher was seen wearing a huge diamond ring given to her by Edwards, which ignited rumors that the pair were engaged.

However, sources now say that the couple was, in fact, never engaged. They just made the choice to ’’play into the speculation that it was an engagement ring.’’
