“We Went on One Date and Fell Crazy in Love,” Bruce Willis Proves That You Can Find Love at Any Age

Bruce Willis was once married to Demi Moore, with whom he had a fairy-tale-like romance. However, later in their marriage, they realized they were not a good fit and divorced after spending 13 years together. Willis spent the next 10 years of his life solo, thinking that he didn’t need a woman by his side to be happy — until one day, when Emma Heming came into his life and proved him wrong.

We at Bright Side believe in true love and are so happy that Bruce Willis finally found it at age 54.

Bruce and Emma met at their mutual trainer’s gym in 2007.

It was like destiny brought them together because they instantly hit it off. Emma’s first impression of Bruce was how charming, fun, and extremely handsome he was. Bruce, on the other hand, was already in love with her.

It took only one date for their romance to blossom.

Casual dating wasn’t Emma’s thing. She never really dated before, as she was a relationship kind of person. But when Bruce asked her out, she decided to give it a try and see where it would take her. Her dating journey, however, lasted only one date.

“We went on one date, on the Friday before Emma was getting ready to move back to New York, and then we fell mad crazy in love,” Bruce revealed. “When you think about where are you going to find that big love of your life, you seldom think it’s someone you already know. You think it’s someone you’ve yet to meet,” he added.

Although 23 years separate the couple, they have much more in common than people might think.

When they tied the knot in 2009, Bruce was 54 and Emma was 31. This wasn’t an issue for them, and with each passing day, they prove that age is nothing but a number when it comes to true love. Recently, the couple celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary, and for the occasion, Emma posted a photo of her and Bruce on their wedding day with teary eyes over wedding speeches.

Emma says that Bruce and she are very much alike. “We’re self-made, we came from the same background, and we went to work and became self-sufficient.”

Since Emma and Bruce got together, her number one priority has been her personal life and not work. They love each other so much that they don’t want to spend even a minute apart. “I hear so many people in relationships say, ’I just need a couple of days away, or even an hour away,’” Bruce revealed. “But I don’t want to be away from Emma at all. It’s the most singular relationship I’ve ever had in my life.”

Today, they have 2 daughters together: Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, 8. The couple loves spending time with their kids, and Bruce revealed that he sometimes even forgets that he has a job when he’s with them.

Mutual respect and a sense of humor is the secret to their long-lasting marriage.

Emma believes that from day one, she and Bruce had a lot of respect for each other, and that helped them build a strong foundation for their relationship. And the cherry on top is that Willis is funny and smart and always makes her laugh. “You’ve got to keep laughing because if you stop, you’re going to have some issues,” she revealed.

Emma also perfectly fits into Bruce’s first family, and they are now like a small tribe.

Emma met Bruce’s daughters that he shares with his ex-wife, Demi Moore — Rumor, Scout, and Tallulah — early on in their relationship. She was nervous at first because she was aware of how sensitive the situation must be for the girls, but thankfully, it was comfortable from day one. “I’ve been really blessed,” she says.

Emma also is on good terms with Demi Moore, and they even call each other friends and sisters. As it seems, from their Instagram posts, they have a great time when all 8 of them get together.

Do you think a relationship with a big age gap can stand the test of time?
