Not only is it the New Year that most of us are waiting for, but also the winter holidays, so we can forget about the world, not have to hurry anywhere, and just relax and chill. It’s the perfect time for wrapping yourself up in a warm blanket and watching movies that will keep your festive mood alive for just a little longer.

We at Bright Side have created a big list of movies that we are going to watch during our free time in the New Year and we are eager to share these wintery and New Year’s themed movies from our list with you.

A Christmas Prince

The crown prince of Aldovia is about to ascend the throne on Christmas Eve, while a young journalist named Amber goes to this small country to cover the event. However, the girl is not going to write a simple article, but wants to reveal a scandal by learning the mysteries of the heir to the throne. In order to get the necessary information, Amber starts to work as a tutor for the young Princess in the palace.

Klaus

Jesper is the lazy and spoiled son of the Postmaster General, who has been banished to the Far North to work as an ordinary postman by his father. This is his father’s idea for how to put his son on the right path. Once he gets there, the young man decides to leave this weird town he’s found himself in as soon as possible.

Turns out, it’s pretty difficult to fulfill the plan that was set by his father when none of the belligerent residents send letters to each other. That’s when Jesper gets the idea to trick the town’s kids into writing letters to (Santa) Klaus. The postman doesn’t even suspect that he’s started to create a magical story that is going to live on for centuries.

Operation Arctic

This is a really cold movie for those who still haven’t got snow in their neck of the woods. 3 kids get lost in the frosty Arctic where they have to fight for survival. They see polar bears, have to get themselves food, and try to cope with the storm while adults are out looking for them, with no luck.

Not everyone likes to spend New Year’s evenings watching family movies and that’s why we decided to include a Christmas horror movie into this compilation. During the holidays, the students of one university get attacked. The girls figure out that they are being hunted and decide to unite in order to protect themselves.

Let It Snow

The residents of a small midwestern town find themselves in a snowstorm. Due to the record amount of snow, the trains stopped running and local residents are asked to stay at home. But one girl, who happened to be on the train during the bad weather, decides to leave the shelter and get to a coffee shop. That’s how she starts a series of funny adventures, not only for herself, but also for those who are around her.

Merry Christmas

The Christmas of 1914 is coming and 4 people find themselves on the battlefield between the Germans, the Scots, and the French. However, this movie is not about fierce battles at all, but about spontaneous friendships that make soldiers lay down their arms on the eve of the most magical holiday of the year.

A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

Carol is the vice president of a big corporation. Her brother runs one of the branches of the company and this department keeps having very bad results.
