You could say some actors are just destined to work together. After all, casting directors hired them to be in the same movie or TV program multiple times, and their chemistry did not go unnoticed by fans either. When the 2 actors we know and love are working together again, you know it’s going to be a good show.

Bright Side has some favorite on-screen duos that we would love to share with you. We can’t get enough of these phenomenal matches.

1. Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon

Fans remember Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon as Carrie and Miranda from Sex and the City and its sequel, And Just Like That... However, this project is not the first time they worked together — the pair starred in the TV drama, My Body, My Child, back in the 1980s.

2. Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler

This duo became inseparable in the eyes of viewers, as they starred in 18 movies together. Their joint projects include flicks like The Longest Yard (2005) and Grown Ups (2010).

3. Amy Adams and Christian Bale

The pair starred in 3 movies together: American Hustle, The Fighter, and Vice. Interestingly enough, all 3 of these films won multiple Oscars. Maybe this duo is the key to success!

4. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin

The women starred together in the comedy, 9 to 5 back in the 1980s, but they were reunited for a Netflix show, Grace and Frankie. Their chemistry is so good that their show became the longest-running on the platform, as it’s been renewed for 7 seasons.

5. George Clooney and Brad Pitt

The duo first starred together in the 2001 movie, Ocean’s Eleven, which was later turned into a franchise, but they also have made several other movies together, such as Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) and Burn After Reading (2008).

6. Robert De Niro and Al Pacino

Both men starred together as main characters of the hit movie, The Godfather: Part II, but their projects together didn’t end there — they both also appeared in the movies, Heat (1995), Righteous Kill (2008), and The Irishman (2019).

7. Uma Thurman and John Travolta

These 2 shared an unforgettable dance scene in Quentin Tarantino’s movie, Pulp Fiction in 1994. Over a decade later, they reunited to work together on a comedy, Be Cool.

8. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper

This duo has worked together in 6 movies, with their first project being Silver Linings Playbook in 2012. Cooper said that them getting so many joint projects is “just a happenstance” and that he respects Lawrence a lot as a professional and thinks she is “the best [actor] there is.”

9. Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah

The duo was cast as leads of the movie, Set It Off, in the 1990s. After making this film, the 2 women became very close friends. They got to reunite on-screen 2 decades later to work on the comedy, Girls Trip.

10. Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair

Surprisingly, Legally Blonde was not the actresses’ first project together. The 2 of them worked on the movie, Cruel Intentions, which came out in 1999, 2 years before Legally Blonde.

11. Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke

Rising stars Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke’s first project together was a Marvel movie, Black Panther, but before that, the 2 were university classmates. Their real-life chemistry did not go unnoticed by director Jordan Peele, who then cast them in his horror movie, Us, as a married couple.

12. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson

They have several movies together that are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Thor movies and Avengers flicks. However, aside from that, the duo also starred in the movie, Men In Black: International, and critics noted their chemistry together.

13. Allison Janney and Viola Davis

The actresses made 3 movies together over the course of 8 years — the first one was The Help in 2011, followed by the movie, Get on Up, in 2014. The duo then reunited half a decade later to work on the film, Troop Zero. Janney described her co-star as an “electrifying actress.”

14. Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara

This duo has been collaborating for over 40 years now, with their first project together being Second City Television back in the 1970s. After that, they made a few movies together. In 2015, Eugene Levy and his son, Daniel, created and starred in a sitcom, Schitt’s Creek, which became a critically acclaimed series, and Catherine O’Hara was personally cast by Levy as his character’s wife.

15. Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung

Wong Kar-Wai’s movie, In the Mood for Love, became a career game-changer for both Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, who played the leading roles. However, it is not their only (or even their first) movie together. You can also see the pair act together in Days of Being Wild, Ashes of the Time, and Hero.

Which on-screen duo stole your heart? What actors do you want to see work together again?
