There are many women in the world who deserve recognition for the amazing work they do. These women shape the future of the world and are changing social opinions and stereotypes. For example, nowadays, businesswomen already represent more than 1/3 of all people involved in entrepreneurial activity, and it’s getting better every day.

Bright Side found 10 amazing women that are changing the world and proving that the power women have is huge.

Sabrina Paterski: The “new Einstein”

Sabrina Pasterski is an amazing 28-year old American theoretical physicist from Chicago who’s made the world talk about her. Forbes already called her “the new Albert Einstein.” She was praised by physicist George Takei, promoted by rapper Chris Brown, and was even promised a job by Jeff Bezos.

When you look at this girl, you just can’t believe that people like her exist. She is not just beautiful and smart, but she is a genius. Between the ages of 12 and 14, she built her own one-engine airplane, the Zenith Zodiac, which costs around $36,000. At age 16, she was able to fly as a test pilot.

Malala Yousafzai: The fighter for the education of women and children

The outstanding Malala Yousafzai is a 24-year-old woman from Pakistan who has done a lot to change this world for the better. At this young age, the former Pakistani prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, already called her “the most prominent citizen” of the country. Isn’t that incredible? Together with her fund, she fights for human rights and female education. It’s not even possible to describe all of her accomplishments in this short article.

She has done a lot for her young age and has become the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She has also authored 2 books, and her fund “breaks down barriers that are preventing more than 130 million girls around the world from going to school.”

Jane Goodall: “The woman who gave a new meaning to the word man.”

If you call Jane Goodall one of the greatest women in our modern world, you are probably right. It’s not in her to stay away from environmental issues and not care about the future of animals and people. She is just one of those people who fights for animal rights and tries to make our world a better and kinder place. Goodall essentially “redefined man,” revolutionized the study of primates, and found a new approach to animal behavior. We are not the only ones on this planet!

In one of her interviews she says: “My job seems to have increasingly become giving people hope so that instead of doing nothing and sinking into depression, they take action. It’s very clear to me that unless we get a critical mass of people involved in trying to create a better world for our great-grandchildren, we’d better stop having children altogether.”

Melinda Gates: “A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman.”

Forbes called Melinda Gates the most powerful woman in philanthropy. Generous, kind, beautiful. They are all qualities that describe Melinda Gates. Can you imagine that there is $40 billion in her private charitable foundation? This woman is not just a philanthropist and a business woman, but a passionate advocate for women and girls.

In 2016 she announced her new mission of working on the lack of women in tech: “To me, the tech industry is one of the best places to work right now. If I was working again, I would work in biological science or tech or a combination of the 2. Every company needs technology, and yet we’re graduating fewer women with this specialty. That is not good for society. We have to change it.”

Aung San Suu Kyi: “The woman who defeated the generals.”

Aung San Suu Kyi is an inspiration for many of us. She never gave up fighting against violence and for humanity in spite of all the difficulties that stood in her way. Women like this can rule the world. Because of her outspoken opinion, she remained under house arrest for almost 15 of the 21 years from 1989 to 2010.

But even during this arrest, she was awarded the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 1990 and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991! Aung San Suu Kyi could only actually physically receive it in 2012 while she was on a trip to Europe. She has definitely changed lots of people’s minds and had a big influence on the history of her country. She has amazing power for standing up for her beliefs and for other people.

Ellen Ochoa: The astronaut and the hero

Ellen Ochoa is an American engineer and a former astronaut, and, of course, a hero for many people! She made 4 space flights on shuttles and became the first Hispanic woman to fly into space. Wow! What a great idol for children.

Ochoa made a huge contribution to our society and created optical systems for performing information processing. This opened the door for the use of robots in production. Her brilliant mind is why Ochoa has received a lot of awards, and among one of them is NASA’s Exceptional Service Medal in 1997.

Linda J. Wachner: Creative genius in business

Linda J. Wachner is not just a great woman but a mind-changer. She shattered the social opinion about women in business. Wachner is an example for young girls who want to be successful businesswomen. But all of her highs only came when she made the decision to stay strong at the age of 11 after she spent a year immobilized in a body cast. She dreamt of walking again and literally let nothing stop her!
In 1993, Fortune magazine listed her as one of the toughest bosses. There can be a lot of discussion about her approach toward her employees and her business, but no one has any doubt she is a real leader.

Steph Gabriel: “Plastic is not fantastic.”

This girl is a beautiful activist, an entrepreneur, and a marine scientist. But the main thing she really cares about is the environment. In 2014, Steph founded a company that sells swimsuits made from plastic bottles and abandoned fishing nets from the ocean. It’s just a great idea. Her slogan is “saving the ocean, one bikini at a time.

Her eco approach to business encourages people to think about their plastic use and the future of our planet.

Yusra Mardini: “From refugee to Olympian”

Yusra Mardini is only 24 years old, but her story serves as motivation for many of us. She was born in Syria, and when her house was destroyed during the war, she decided to flee through Greece with 18 other migrants. This was brave and risky. The motor stopped on the boat she was fleeing in and it started to take on water in the Aegean Sea. Then Yusra, her sister, and 2 more people pushed the boat for over 3 hours until they arrived at Lesbos. She is a real hero that knows how to take action.

Nowadays, Yusra lives in Germany and became a member of the Refugee Olympic Athletes Team. In spite of everything, she has proven to the whole world that she is awesome and has taken part in 2 Olympic Games.

Danielle Fong: Making energy inexpensive and clean

Danielle Fong finished school and was admitted to college at the age of 12. That’s already enough to say that she’s pretty accomplished! When she was 22, Fong, along with her friends, founded a startup company called LightSail Energy. They developed a form of compressed air energy storage. She is someone who can change the future of our planet.

She was recognized by Forbes in 2013 as an entrepreneur on their “30 under 30” list, and was referred to s a person who “may save the world.

You're going to have to reconsider keeping Aung San Suu Kyi on this list as she has fallen far and fast from her professed ideals.
