Being a celebrity doesn’t mean that they live totally different lives and that everything comes easy to them, including dates. They also struggle and search for true love. And sometimes they also verify their Tinder account and give it a try.

We at Bright Side are sure that everyone is equal in the search for love, and we’re sharing 10 celebrities who also use dating apps.

1. Katy Perry

After her break-up with John Mayer, Katy Perry decided that it was time to take fate into her own hands. She was asked while in an interview if she was finally single. For this question, she provided a bold answer: “Uh, yes I am, hello. I’m really deep on Tinder so I don’t have a whole lot of time.

2. Drew Barrymore

In January 2021, Drew Barrymore confessed that she was back on a dating app: “I was like, ’I’m not dead, I’m not dead!’ For me, that was a big step.”

Later, Barrymore shared with us that she had an unlucky experience: “I booked a date with one guy, finally, and then he stood me up at the exact time we were supposed to meet. I was like, ’Can’t you be a jerk an hour before?’ That would have been such a time-saver.”

3. Khloé Kardashian

After Khloé Kardashian confirmed that she had broken up with James Harden, she announced other news. The celebrity uploaded her OkCupid profile on her app and website and showed the whole world that she was open to dating new guys.

4. Demi Lovato

Lovato was registered on Raya, which is an exclusive dating app for celebrities. Later, she was rejected by the service after deleting her account. She tried to get back on it again after a break-up, but eventually, she decided that she needed time to be single.

5. Rebel Wilson

Wilson has a successful career but when she started missing her personal life, she found herself on a dating app: “I’ve been on it a few years but I’m only active for a week or 2. When you’re seeing somebody, you’re not on it. It’s only for the times in between when you’re very much single.

6. Sam Smith

Sam Smith didn’t hide that he was using dating apps, but after some time, he realized that they weren’t for him: “No offense to people who go on Tinder but I just feel like it’s ruining romance. We’re losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people and you’re swiping people.”

Smith chose a traditional way of finding a soulmate, and that brought him luck.

7. Charlize Theron

After trying a dating app, Charlize Theron understood that she wasn’t a fan of it. Like Sam Smith, she prefers a traditional way of meeting people: “And then you have to text them, and then the flirting starts, and it’s kind of awkward because they’re trying to be cute, and they say weird stuff.”

8. Hilary Duff

In 2015, Hilary Duff announced that she was on Tinder: “I’ve always met people through work and I have never been on a blind date. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? I’m talking to probably about 9 guys right now.”

She also shared that she was going on a Tinder date finally: “I’m really, really nervous. We’re going bowling, so it can’t be too expensive. I like that. I’ve never dated just a total normie.”

9. Ed Sheeran

In April 2014, Ed Sheeran opened up and shared that he verified his Tinder account: “I haven’t got time to go on loads of dates.” He didn’t sound like he was too into it and said that he would prefer to be on the radio and talk about music.

10. Sharon Stone

This may come as a surprise to some people, but Sharon Stone also uses dating apps. She is a celebrity but also wants to love and to be loved. After she registered on Bumble, she was blocked there. The actress confessed on Twitter: “I went on the Bumble dating site and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey Bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive.”

Just want to tell anybody that doesn’t know, Demi’s pronouns are They/Them. This probably was written before they announced the change, so I just wanted to let everyone know.
