A YouTuber Helps 1,000 Blind People See Again by Paying for Their Surgeries, and Their Reactions Will Make You Tear Up

24-year-old Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known as Mr. Beast to the world, is a YouTuber who claims he wants to make the world a better place, and he’s making it happen. For his latest campaign, Donaldson selected 1,000 blind people from across the globe and sponsored their surgeries, bringing light to their lives.
On his mission to cure blindness, Mr. Beast joined hands with Jeff Levenson, a surgeon from Florida. According to the surgeon, there’s enough technology out there to fix half the cases of blindness in the world; and most people only need a 10-minute surgery. Unfortunately, most of them lack the resources, and here’s how the YouTuber stepped in to help.
The YouTuber and his team contacted homeless shelters and created a list of people with cataracts who needed surgery but couldn’t afford it. The group further connected with SEE International, which helped Donaldson get in touch with 1,000 patients from all over the world, including patients from Namibia, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil, Vietnam, and Kenya.
In addition to the surgeries, the YouTuber also gave away sums of money to people. He gifted $10,000 each to people who needed it and $50,000 to a boy so he could continue his studies and attend college.
What is the sweetest thing a stranger has done for you or that you have done for them?
