In fact, many older people begin using certain practices or habits that help them to feel great and maintain their strength as they age. 73-year-old actor Richard Gere has been famous since the 1980s, but he has kept himself feeling healthy and upbeat with one simple thing: meditation. He likes to meditate for an hour and says that it helped him become a nicer person whenever he didn’t feel good. “There is no doubt that if you meditated for an hour, you would feel different. This is the real deal,” he said.
He also ignores his age or any ideas of how he “should” be acting in his seventies. “Having young kids also helps,” he admitted, saying that his sons help to keep him feeling young at heart and in the body.
