None of them would do what they are doing if it wasn't for the money they got from acting
8 Actors Who Decided to Say Goodbye to Spotlight After Getting Famous

It might seem like being one of the top Hollywood actors is a job anyone would wish for. Yet, not everything is smooth and perfect in the world of fame. Most of the time, actors are exhausted and simply want to have a normal life, like everybody else. These 8 actors have had enough of it all, so they decided to step back.
1. Julia Roberts
The star of Pretty Woman admits she wants to live a hippie lifestyle, like Erin Brockovich, the character she played in 2000. She wants a calm life, “I try to be super present and not plan, and I don’t have any upcoming acting jobs. Getting back to a routine feels really good. And I love being at home, I love being a mom.”
2. Cameron Diaz
Cameron confirmed that she’s “retired” and has no regrets. She didn’t have time for her personal life, “When you do something at a high level for a long period of time, other parts of you are handed off to others. There’re so many parts of my life that I wasn’t managing.” Cameron felt like Hollywood “owned” her, so she decided to become “self-sufficient.”
3. Jessica Alba
Her first urge to quit acting was when the Fantastic Four film director criticized her crying. He said, “It looks too real, too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica.”
Then Alba also struggled with her roles because of her ethnicity, “They were like, ‘You’re not Latin enough to play a Latina, and you’re not Caucasian enough to play the leading lady, so you’re going to be the ‘exotic’ one.’” Now she has her own business and enjoys being a mom.
4. Tobey Maguire

Tobey’s co-star said that it was difficult to work with him, “Tobey and I had a bit of a rough time. It was a difficult movie.” Later Maguire decided to hide from the limelight to focus on film production and work behind the scenes.
5. Jack Gleeson
Jack said he did acting for fun and it wasn’t meant to be his job, “When you make a living from something, it changes your relationship with it. It’s not like I hate it, it’s just not what I want to do.” He wants to live as normal a life as possible, his Instagram and Twitter aren’t active, his apartment is “not very lavish” and his status makes him uncomfortable.
6. The Olsen twins

The twins decided to go into fashion rather than acting. They launched 2 successful lines and have partnered with many companies. They simply decided to change the industry because it proved to be more successful. They managed to dominate the fashion industry on their first try.
7. Jennifer Lawrence

8. Andrew Garfield

To sum it up, these actors, once in the limelight but now choosing to step away, highlight the evolving nature of fame. Their decisions showcase the myriad possibilities within the entertainment industry. While they may have left the spotlight behind, their stories continue to remind us of the diverse paths one can take on the journey of life.
