Dolly Parton is 77 years young and still looks as radiant and glamorous as ever. Some people say it’s her skincare routine, while others believe it’s her positive attitude that keeps her looking so fresh and youthful. “I don’t have time to age,” Parton once joked. The legendary country singer and all-around icon, Dolly Parton is a shining example of how to live life to the fullest.

She swears by her makeup remover pads.

Some dermatologists advise against using makeup remover wipes, because many artificial ingredients they contain might irritate your skin and even cause allergic reactions. The Rockin’ Years singer, however, believes that using these wipes allows her skin to stay glowing.

“I try all the new things that come out, but there’s nothing better than good old Vaseline and those eye makeup remover pads. I use those little pads to clean my face, and it leaves enough mineral oil on my skin that it’s a good nighttime moisturizer. I have pretty good skin considering my age, and I think a lot of it is mineral oil,” she said.

Many celebrities try to hide the fact that they have had fillers, but Parton is very honest about the cosmetic procedures she has had. “People always say I look happy, and I say well that’s the Botox. Good lighting, good makeup, and good doctors, that’s my secret,” she shared.

She doesn’t believe skincare products have to be expensive.

Although a country music legend can afford luxurious skincare products, she doesn’t believe money can buy beauty.

“I don’t do any big rituals with my skin or anything, and I don’t think you have to pay a ton of money to have good products. Most of the products that cost less are just as good, and sometimes better than the ones that cost a fortune. I don’t buy for fame. I just buy the ones that work for me,” she said.

She avoids being in the sun for too long.

While many people believe tanned skin looks better, sun exposure can actually cause premature wrinkles and age spots. Parton believes her skin still looks good because she never spent much time in the sun.

“I never got out in the sun. I don’t have a lot of the same problems that women my age do ’cause I never baked myself in the sun. I would’ve if I’d been able to tan, but I couldn’t, so now I’m glad,” she shared.

She’s an early riser.

Getting enough sleep is vital for your skin, because skin makes new collagen when you sleep. But Parton doesn’t have a habit of sleeping too long, and she likes to start her day really early.

“I don’t need a whole lot of sleep. I go to bed pretty early, but even if I’ve been up late — it’s just kind of like a little clock inside of me that says ’it’s 3 o’clock!’ I don’t require as much sleep as a lot of other people do, that’s kind of a Parton family trait,” she said.
