Parents rarely let go of the memories of their children, nor do the children. And the moments that used to define parenthood are now covered by the accomplishments achieved by adults who seemed to have been little kids just yesterday. 1. Meadow Walker launched the Paul Walker Foundation in honor of her dad.

Meadow is now 23 and says that while reflecting on her father, she found herself reflecting on his passions. And he really was passionate about the ocean, rescuing animals, and helping people. So she decided to launch the non-profit Paul Walker Foundation on his birthday. And that’s truly the best way to celebrate his memory.

2. Bindi and Robert Irwin opened the Crocodile Hunter Lodge in honor of Steve Irwin.

The Lodge is located at the Australia Zoo where the Irwin family lives and works. And now animal lovers have the special opportunity to stay there overnight and experience beautiful wildlife. It is a perfect spot to relax and reconnect, as well as honor Steve Irwin who dreamt of building such a place for a long time. It seems like his family was destined to fulfill his wishes.

3. Paris and Prince Jackson honored their father, Michael Jackson, at his sixtieth birthday celebration.

In 2018, Michael Jackson‘s daughter, Paris Jackson, and son, Prince Jackson, came together for a special celebration honoring his sixtieth birthday. The 2 followed in their father’s footsteps by accepting the award on his behalf for his humanitarian work with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, an organization that the singer worked hard to build and make this world a better place.

4. Julian Lennon’s environmental and humanitarian foundation was inspired by John Lennon himself.

Back in 2007, Julian Lennon founded the White Feather Foundation. It’s an environmental and humanitarian organization that focuses on education, health, environmental conservation, and the preservation and protection of indigenous cultures. The name of the foundation was inspired by John Lennon himself. He said to his son that should he pass away, the message would come to him in the form of a white feather. That’s how he would know that Lennon was going to be okay.

5. Zelda Williams honored her father, Robin Williams, and his favorite charity at the Noble Awards.

Zelda Williams paid tribute to her father at the Noble Awards in 2015. The then-25-year-old Zelda presented one of his favorite charities. That was the first time she spoke publicly since her father passed away. She explained, “He’d take off at inhuman speed, a smile on his face and never look back.”

6. Prince William and Prince Harry honored Princess Diana ahead of the twentieth anniversary of her passing.

The brothers viewed the special garden that had been transformed with their mother’s favorite white blooms to commemorate her life. Kensington Palace is also holding a special exhibition chronicling her life, particularly focused on how Diana organized much of her charitable work. A statue of Diana was commissioned at the palace as well.

7. Christopher Reeve’s children continue his legacy by running the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Christopher Reeve is best known for playing the iconic Superman in the original films of the ‘70s and ‘80s. However, he was in a horse-riding accident in 1995 and spent the rest of his days in a wheelchair. Together with his wife, he founded the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Their son, Will, together with 3 kids from Reeve’s previous relationship, serve on its board of directors today.

8. Most of Bob Marley’s kids followed in his footsteps, continuing to create music in his name.

Bob Marley had 12 kids, and many of them followed in his footsteps, making music and even winning respectable awards. They released many albums honoring their father’s name. As one of his children, Damian, said, “Our father is really a part of our everyday life, to tell you the truth, and the lessons and the morals and the example that he set carries us through everything that we do.”

9. Frances Bean Cobain honored her dad, Kurt Cobain, with a clothing line.

Kurt Cobain’s only daughter is honoring her father with a clothing line called Kurt Was Here. The fact is that Cobain was not only a great musician but also a talented artist. And now his fans can wear T-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts featuring Cobain’s own sketches and artwork.
