Pregnant Women Are Using Their Sonograms to Create Adorable Nail Art

No matter who you are, there is one special person in your life without whom you would not exist — a mom. And moms-to-be are a very special group of happy people and we will never fault them for finding new ways of showing the news we believe they want to shout from the rooftops. Or wear on their nails — as this is the new trend taking over the internet.

New ultrasound nail trend

The owner of the nail salon took this picture and used the hashtag #ultrasoundnails. At that moment she couldn’t even imagine how popular and sweet this nail art would become. She was inspired by Sarah Clarke, who started this peculiar nail design trend. Here is the original nail art, created by her:

After putting it on her social media, the nail artist had to apologize to all of her potential new clients due to the fact that she was now booked weeks in advance. So, she came up with an original service. Now you can send her over the baby’s ultrasound and she will put the picture onto the nail tip, or your own nail technician can put it on for you.

This is what she says about the service: “The nail will be sent in a presentation box so you can keep the tip as a keepsake, as many people have already asked for.”

In celebration of life and going forward

But even apart from this offer, people have been replicating the idea in their own ways all over the world! Look and this “two nail version,” from a mother from Sweden, representing both of her babies:

This Instagram user was brave by sharing her most heartbreaking story with the world in these words: “After 3 years and numerous fertility treatments, my hubby and I finally conceived in April. My heart was broken when I found out my baby was no longer living and growing, and he was taken from me the next day. I learned how to love him and his brief life and move forward with renewed hope. I love you jelly bean, and seeing you on my nails makes me smile.”
