15+ People Who Wanted a Special Wedding Photo, and They Got It

We all experience coincidences in our lives, and they can be both funny and surprising. If you ever wondered what the biggest coincidence was, look no further... Hollywood star Anne Hathaway’s husband looks remarkably like William Shakespeare. And this intriguing fact goes even further, as there are more coincidences between Anne and her husband and William Shakespeare and his wife back in the 1500s.
Bright Side is sharing the facts of the similarities between these two couples to show how life can throw crazy and curious coincidences our way.
William Shakespeare married a woman named Anne Hathaway in November 1582, and they remained married until Shakespeare’s death. They had three children together: Susanna, Judith, and Hamnet. While there is a lack of evidence about the nature of their relationship, when Shakespeare died in 1616 he left Anne his “second-best bed” in his will.
Anne Hathaway married Adam Shulman in 2012. And strangely enough, Shulman does seem to bear a resemblance to Shakespeare in some portraits of him. Of course, we have no photographs, and artists do vary in how they portrayed him, but some pictures do uncannily resemble Shulman.
Anne Hathaway’s parents are named Gerald and Kate Hathaway. And they named their daughter Anne. Which means that Anne’s real name is indeed Anne Hathaway, just like Shakespeare’s wife’s name — it isn’t a stage name she created for her career.
What do you think? Is this pure coincidence? What is the biggest coincidence you have ever experienced?
