What a stunning, courageous, and outstanding young woman! I wish her continued success in all she chooses to do.
“I’m a hot model, and nothing holds me back!” Triple Amputee Becomes Miss Ecuador and a TV Star

Research shows that over 1 in 4 of today’s 20-year-olds will become disabled before they retire. This fact might seem unbelievable initially because people tend to underestimate the risk of most things. It’s called the “it’s-not-going-to-happen-to-me syndrome.” It’s important to acknowledge other disabled people to build a more accepting, resilient, and compassionate society for everyone. Victoria’s story is a testament to the fact that our disabilities do not define us.
“I’m a triple amputee and a hot model, nothing holds me back.”

Victoria Salcedo is a stunning Ecuadorian woman who has conquered the fashion industry despite facing an unimaginable tragedy during her childhood. At just 6 years old, Victoria lost both her arms and legs after accidentally touching an electrical wire with a stick.
Victoria didn’t let her condition stop her. Instead of giving up, she persevered and found ways to adapt to her new reality. She learned how to complete daily tasks, like eating and doing her hair and makeup, using only her right leg. After being fitted for a prosthetic leg, Victoria fell in love with exercise and started working out regularly.
Despite her disability, Victoria showed her talent on a famous dancing show, leaving every spectator amazed.
If working out wasn’t enough, she proved that despite missing limbs, she could perform in a competitive dance show against other dancers. She shared her breathtaking performance on her Instagram page, where she got emotional and said: “Believe in yourself, stand firm and full of love for yourself so much that you infect whoever wants to discover you through their senses.”
The fame and influence she gained, fulfilled her life.
At 19, she was discovered by a modeling scout, and it wasn’t long before she became a sought-after model in the industry, despite her missing limbs. Her beauty, poise, and unique story have captured the hearts of many, inspiring tens of thousands of people worldwide.
“I never thought I’d be an influential person for other people, but I like to share my life with others. I like people writing to me and asking me questions, for them to know that they can count on me,” she said.
Victoria took her mission to redefine beauty to the next level by competing in the Miss Ecuador pageant in 2021. Her confidence and grace on stage, along with her inspiring story, have broken down barriers and helped shift societal perceptions of what beauty truly means.
“I use what I’ve lived through, what I’ve learned, and I share that,” she explained. “To me, inspiring others is an opportunity to change people’s minds. It is a chance to share part of myself with others.”
Through her work as a model and public figure, Victoria hopes to encourage people to see beyond disabilities and to view amputees as capable, strong, and beautiful. She inspires everyone, showing that we can achieve anything despite the odds.
