In order to make your skin look perfect, sometimes all you need is a couple of great products and patience. But most of the time, fighting imperfections is a system that includes deep cleansing, hydration, protection, anti-acne products, and other things. Reddit users shared the details of their own everyday skin care, before and after photos, and asked for tips from SkincareAddiction. We have collected their discoveries in our compilation in hopes that they will inspire you not to give up, to substitute one of the products in your routine, or to try to do your procedures in a different order.

Bright Side is convinced that beautiful skin is the result of our efforts and we don’t always have to spend a lot of money on beauty salon services. Here are some stories from people who feel confident when they go outside without concealer on their faces.

1.

According to this girl, she had always had problems with acne and decided to change her skin care routine in order to use a minimal number of products with the maximum effect. This is what she uses:

Morning:

  • Hydrating cleanser
  • UV Skin Aqua Milk SPF 50 PA+++

Evening:

  • Garnier Micellar Water
  • Niacinamide/zinc CeraVe Serum
  • Hydrating cream

Once a week: peeling solution (AHA 30% + BHA 2%)

2.

The difference between these photos is 4 years, and the girl only has mascara on her face. She says that she had never used UV-protection before and started doing it only 4 years ago right when she took the left photo.

Morning:

  • CeraVe Cleanser for Normal Skin
  • Moisturizer with SPF 30
  • Silk Naturals Serum with vitamin C

Evening:

  • CeraVe Cleanser for Normal Skin
  • Switch off every other night between Silk Naturals AHA toner and MUAC retinol.
  • Moisturize with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil.

3.

The first photo had been taken before the girl started these care procedures and the second one was taken 4 weeks later. And the next pictures show the result after 12 weeks.

Morning:

  • Cleanse with Vanicream Z-Bar.

10.

The difference between the photos is just 45 days. The girl took a healing course for her skin and she noticed results in 45 days. Of course, we don’t recommend using any kind of medications without seeing a doctor. But maybe her example will inspire you to see a dermatologist and solve the problem that has been bothering you for several years. Here are her daily procedures during the treatment and after it:

During the treatment:

  • Morning: rinse face with water and put on Cetaphil. Take an Absorica pill (the pill decreases the production of sebum).
  • Evening: remove makeup with Cetaphil cleansing cloths, wash with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, and put Aquaphor Healing Ointment on the lips and (when needed) face.

After the treatment:

Morning: rinse with water, moisturize with CereVe Suncare Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 30. Put on makeup if desired.

Evening: remove makeup with Cetaphil Cleansing Cloths Gentle Skin and wash with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.

Once a week: Apply Tretinoin cream (0.05%) as prescribed by a doctor.

11.

The difference between the photos is 2 weeks. The girl thinks that the positive effect was achieved thanks to the safflower oil.

The products used:

  • Rinse with water and face cloth or CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser or micellar water.

  • Stridex wipe at night

  • Hada Labo Moist

  • Scinic Honey AIO (sometimes but not before this photo)

  • CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

  • Safflower oil (dime sized amount)

  • Finacea or BenzaClin if not using Stridex

  • Sulwhasoo Vitalizing Mask

  • Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask

  • Vaseline

12.

According to this girl, this is her first time driving to work without foundation on. She only has on mascara, highlighter, and eyebrow shading. She doesn’t use UV-protection. She thinks that her skin is soft only because she puts eyelid cream on her entire face.

Morning:

  • Wash with Tarte Cleansing Gel.
  • Spray with rose water (Mario Badescu).
  • Hyaluronic eye cream (all over the face)
  • Rosehip oil.

Evening:

  • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
  • Rosehip oil
  • Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

She sometimes uses face masks — nothing special. She just buys inexpensive ones in the supermarket.

I had a very dry and peeling skin on my face, especially during the winter season, and only the anticeptic cream Boro Plus helped me.
