13 Things That Almost Found Their End in a Dumpster but Got a Chance for a Second Life

It’s hard to imagine how many things we throw away every day for all sorts of reasons: they got broken, we don’t want to use or like them anymore, they’ve got out of fashion, etc. Can you believe that someone can even throw away an autographed Harry Potter book? But what one person considers trash, another one may find really valuable, just like the heroes of our article who discovered something really delightful in a dumpster.

• I was out for a walk with my dog when suddenly a car stopped, opened the window and threw out a dog and a cat. We tried to stop the driver but it was already late, she left. • My dad was a plumber and always wanted to get a diamond ring for my mother. One day, while replacing an old toilet in some apartment building, he found a small ring blacked by old age and probably other filth. He tried to clean it with some water and noticed that it started to shine. He went to a jeweler and put in into a solution, revealing a 24K white gold diamond ring in it. When looking at the treasures that people find in the trash, we can’t help but peek into dumpsters that we come across ourselves. What if there’s an adorable pink fridge too? And some people simply go to a flea market: there are also a lot of cool things. And sometimes they can find so weird objects that they can’t even figure out what they’ve found.
