Pleasure and comfort — these are the words that might come to mind when thinking about something delicious. However, even the tastiest snack can be spoiled by those who produce it. Whether it’s tricking customers with misleading packaging, the wrong portion sizes, or a completely different product altogether, it’s easy to turn one’s pure satisfaction into total disappointment.

Bright Side believes that being able to have a good laugh, even in the most upsetting situations, is a good way to cope with misfortune. And we invite you to have a look at these “treats gone wrong” in support of those who received them.

1. “A handful of jam served on a plate at an upscale restaurant.”

Companies may not be what they were almost 10 years ago, but at least then venders would tell us that companies want to make things right more than you’d think. You may be able to get your money back in a retail setting but it doesn’t stop there. Actually contacting the maker could result in coupons- as some of the real false advertising is a mistake- like zero oreos in the oreo ice cream or zero beans. You could attempt to report a smaller ratio than a photo but that could be hit or miss. I remember a customer that was sent coupons without that intention when reporting that a frozen dinner marked “spicy” was not even a little spicy. Also don’t just think companies listen to complaints. If it’s something you love and buy often, tell them that. It can also result in coupons. I personally am not someone that EXPECTS extra because something is or isn’t my preference, but since the advice came from venders and is a perfectly legal and totally the company’s choice to send coupons.
