We’ve all had our fair share of accidents in the kitchen — it doesn’t even matter if you’re a beginner or a professional chef. Some people fail when they’re overly excited about making a cake, some fall prey to being too busy at work, and others just want to make a regular sandwich. But there’s one more group of people that shouldn’t be allowed to cook, otherwise, a mess will be impossible to avoid.
We at Bright Side are convinced that anyone can cook. It’s just that some people can create cooking masterpieces easily with no trouble and others need to study long and hard in order to make a good meal.
“I was determined to surprise my wife and kids this morning. Well, in a way, I did...”
“My sister’s attempt at being artistic for her kids”
This person must’ve tried hard.
“My own invention: eggplant with a side of melted knife”
“The classic cheese and ham toastie”
“The cook at Applebee’s forgot to take the plastic off the slice of cheese before he added it to my wife’s sandwich...”
“Wanted some pizza. This was the best I could come up with. Canned pizza sauce, gouda, cheddar, and salami on a toasted hot dog bun...”
“Homemade cinnamon roll reheated at 400° for 6 hours”
“Strawberry brownies as seen on Facebook”
“Cooking is obviously not my thing.”
“My sister-in-law likes to make charcuterie boards and said I should give it a try, so my sister and I made this beauty.”
Almost there!
“My roommate’s cheese toast”
“My mom was really glad I enjoyed the rat meatloaf last time so she made another one just for me.”
“I made this bread myself!”
“Yesterday, my daughter decided to cook for the entire family. She’s 12 and she bakes sometimes. She wanted to surprise us, so these are her pancakes.”
“I tried making Japanese cotton sponge cake and this is what I made. I didn’t want to throw it out but when I looked away for a second, my dogs stole it.”
“My wife asked me to take the cinnamon rolls out of the oven in 15 minutes and went to the store. I said it wasn’t a problem but now it’s a problem.”
“My first try at a blancmange didn’t go quite as well as I’d hoped...”
“My mom’s cooking is putting everything she has in a big bowl, boiling it, and that’s it. Today, we’re not so lucky. Yes, these are French fries.”
