7 Celebrities Whose Beauty Brands Have Sparked The New Era with Charm
When we look at celebrities, we often think of how alluring and beautiful they are, and some of us even want to know the secrets to their beauty. Many of our favourite icons have designed their own personal beauty lines that may motivate us to embrace and recreate our own looks. Thanks to Instagram photos and other social media platforms, it is much easier to keep up with fashion, beauty, and skincare trends that can positively influence our own routines.
Bright Side offers up a list of beauty brand movements owned by celebrities that have elevated the public in so much bright light, we can’t help but get intrigued to purchase each and every one of them.
1. Scarlett Johansson’s The Outset
Scarlett Johansson has announced that her new skincare beauty line is set in motion! She will have 5 products that display how she takes care of her skin with minimal effort, but maximal beauty. Johansson has worked as an ambassador for other beauty brands, but decided it was time to stop representing other people’s vision of ideal beauty and start her own.
Johansson had a problem with her skin for a while which she felt self-conscious about, but with her love of colour, fragrance, and skincare, she claims she has enough confidence to know what truly felt ideal to her and not others.
2. Halsey’s About-Face
Halsey’s idea for launching a makeup line didn’t come from any kind of inspiration, it was rather a necessity for her to help express identity — not conceal it.
Halsey says she doesn’t see any makeup that is dirty, grungy, and wrong like it used to be. She loves the very 90s-heavy, Myspace scene queen, very emotional style of makeup — and it’s what she’s going for with her new line. “It’s something for the generation of e-girls and e-boys out there, I’m watching you. I would have been friends with all of you 10 years ago. I love you.”
3. Jennifer Lopez’s JLo Beauty
The number one thing Jennifer Lopez has been asked about is her flawless skin. She has revealed that the secret to great skin is simplicity — less is more. She claims it’s important to incorporate the 5 S’s in order to have glowing skin: sleep, sunscreen, serums, supplements, and living a healthy, sane life.
Her journey with JLo’s Beauty started when she realized that inflammation is what causes ageing, and the way to stop it is by hydrating your skin. Her line has a total of 8 products which include plumpness, tightness, and luminosity that all result in that JLo glow.
4. Lady Gaga’s Haus Laboratories
The aim of Lady Gaga’s beauty brand is to “spread kindness, bravery, and creativity to the world” by forming an idea of self-expression and reinvention. To Gaga, not only are people who know how to use makeup beautiful, but also the ones who don’t know, and want to try. “This is me singing to you through makeup instead of my voice.”
Her palette is made in Italy and completely vegan and cruelty-free — it’s made with love and stands for love. As a performer, Lady Gaga sweats a lot and makes a variety of expressions while singing. But her makeup “doesn’t crease, and there’s no fallout, no matter what you’re doing.”
5. Jessica Alba’s Honest Beauty
Jessica Alba’s Honest Beauty is all about cleanliness, elegance, and sustainability. There is a lot of diversity in the world and in her business. Alba’s culture movement through this brand is aimed at spreading consciousness of how to treat people. “So really thinking about people, people’s health, and the planet.”
Jessica’s daughters have also influenced Honest Beauty to be as natural and friendly to the face as possible. Many serums include chemicals that are harmful to put under your eyes, so creating healthy products that also look like real makeup was the ultimate game-changer for the line.
6. Iman’s Iman Cosmetics
Iman grew up knowing her worth thanks to her mother, who instilled it in her. However, when she found out that people of the caucasian race were getting paid more than her, she got driven to change the industry, instead of having the industry change her. “If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, let the beholder be you.”
This led her to start with Iman Cosmetics in 1994, since the makeup artist on her first shoot didn’t have any foundation for her skin tone. That’s when she began making her own, and Iman Cosmetics became “identified as the beauty brand that filled the gap for Black women because it was deeply personal for me.”
7. Hailey Bieber’s Rhode
Hailey Bieber says that Rhode, her beauty, skincare, and wellness brand, has been in the works for a very long time and it is coming in June 2022! She feels like for the first time ever, this is what she’s truly supposed to do.
Rhode will include bath and shower products, beauty creams, personal cleaning products, haircare, cosmetics, etc. Hailey has done a lot of research about adult skincare, and even helped her husband, Justin, with his skin condition. “’It’s funny because we have really similar skin types so a lot of the products that worked for me ended up working for him as well.”
