“Back to the Future” Cast Sweetly Reunites Amid Michael J. Fox’s Deteriorating Condition
Over the years, actors from the legendary adventure film Back to the Future, have displayed true bonds of friendship with each other. They often reunite for conventions and expos, which never fail to put a smile on our faces. And despite pushing through a difficult condition, Michael J. Fox also showed up to spend time with his old friends.
Recently, Michael J. Fox gave a troubling update on living with Parkinson’s disease. The actor has always been honest about the brutal reality of his condition, and this time, he revealed: “I’m in intense pain.” He also added that walking is challenging as he often falls and injures himself.
And even through these struggles, Fox found enough strength in himself to attend a Fan Expo in Portland from the 17th to the 19th of February, where he joined his beloved Back to the Future co-stars Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson.
The entire crew seemed in high spirits, flashing wide smiles, and cozying up next to each other for photos.
Lea Thompson, who played Marty McFly’s mom, posted a series of pics captioned: “Wow, honestly had the best time today with my #bttf family.” Christopher Lloyd, better known to some as Doc Brown, also shared a snap accompanied by a thematic joke: “Found the flux capacitor. Brought us all back to 2023 just in time for @fanexpoportland.”
This isn’t the first time the Back to the Future cast reminded us of how close they are. Upon learning about Michael J. Fox’s diagnosis, Christopher Lloyd spoke out in support of his friend and colleague, highlighting his virtues and legacy in the best way possible.
Lloyd wrote in support of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research: “Back to the Future has always been more than just a movie. It’s core values: determination, strength, passion, and friendship have transcended into a legacy we could have never imagined. Michael, you have taken it even deeper with your fight for Parkinson’s. It is truly admirable, and I am happy to help, always.”
