Davis, who plays the ever-hopeful Charlotte York Goldenblatt recently got real about society’s expectations of women to look forever young. “It’s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times,” the 58-year-old star shared, adding that it’s even more challenging to remember that you don’t have to look like that.

Society sends mixed messages to women.

She says that the internet wants women to look younger while at the same time, there is a demand to age naturally, Davis explains. So, at one point, she broke under pressure and got facial fillers that made her feel better for a while, but not everyone was impressed with the change.

The actress faced harsh online criticism and was mocked for her appearance, especially by other women, which is particularly painful. “I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful,” Davis bravely admits.

She confronts the shame that surrounds cosmetic procedures.

However, the actress didn’t shy away from discussing beauty procedures she’s gone through, — including Botox and fillers, with varying degrees of success. “I have done fillers, and it’s been good, and I’ve done fillers, and it’s been bad,” she says. Ultimately, after deciding to remove the fillers, she was “ridiculed relentlessly.”

Davis, who we will soon watch in season 2 of And Just Like That, says that there is a lot of “shame” surrounding plastic surgeries and that many women in the show business do not feel comfortable talking about it.

“It’s so sad. We have enough problems as it is. We don’t need to shame each other. Like, it’s so much a waste of time, but it does hurt,” Davis admits.

She chooses to focus on more meaningful things in life.

Refusing to dwell on perceived imperfections, Davis focuses on her family, maintaining her well-being, and adopting a positive mindset. “When I look in the mirror, I try to remind myself not to see the deficits,” the beautiful actress explains.

Kristin Davis’s journey serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize self-love and compassion in the face of scrutiny. Her courage to speak out encourages others to embrace their true selves and find strength in their unique beauty.
