Trendafilka Kirova is a hair braiding fairy from Macedonia, and just a few years ago, she had a job that was far from styling hair. With a master’s degree in economics and experience working as an auditor, she could hardly imagine that soon her life would change completely. Today, she is a recognized artist who makes intricate hairstyles that leave people breathless, and the number of her admirers continues to grow.

The Bright Side team couldn’t miss the opportunity to find out more about this gifted woman, and we’d love for you to get acquainted with the artist and her stunning braid work.

It all started as a hobby during the artist’s first pregnancy.

The artist started braiding her own hair when she was pregnant with her first child. She watched a lot of tutorials and collected inspiration from the works of famous hair artists, and one day, she did her first simple braid. She found braiding to be very calming, and soon she started practicing more complex and intricate techniques.

She has a master’s degree in economics. A few years ago, she was an accountant and an internal auditor but knew that she needed a change and decided to switch careers. She started working as a freelance hairstylist, and in her interview with Bright Side, she confessed that she couldn’t be happier with that decision.

The artist draws inspiration from the most unexpected sources.

The artist finds inspiration on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, but also adds her own twist to whatever style she’s doing. She revealed to Bright Side that she can find inspiration in the most unexpected places, like from a tattoo or a pattern on a rug. She has some trouble coming up with names for new techniques, which is why she always asks her followers to help her come up with names for new types of braids and hairstyles.

When she was asked to name her favorite style, Trendafilka said that she loves her latest pull-through fishtail braid, which is a combination of both of her favorite braids: the pull-through braid and fishtail braid.

She gets tons of support from her loved ones.

The artist works from her studio and does her hairstyles on both mannequins and models that she occasionally hires. She loves everything about her job and enjoys every minute of it. She says that nothing is difficult when you love what you do. But, as lots of people likely feel, she is more empowered when she has support from the people she loves.

Changing a career path with 2 small kids can be super stressful and scary, but the artist is very grateful that her husband was there for her every step of the way. He was very supportive and helpful, and this made the woman even more inspired and creative.

People admire her work and so do other professionals in the industry.

With over 200,000 subscribers on her Instagram page, the artist tries to impress people every day by creating hairstyles that are more and more intricate. Her talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, and she has been featured in numerous publications dedicated to hairstyling. But she takes special pride in her hairstyle that won the “One Shot Hair Award” contest in 2019.

She has a YouTube channel where she posts tutorials for all her hairstyles that she’s displayed on her Instagram page, and almost 230,000 people have subscribed to learn how to make their own masterpieces. The artist loves sharing her knowledge, and she loves when people enjoy what she makes and find it helpful even more. In her interview, she admitted that people are capable of learning anything they want if they put their heart and soul into it, just like she did when she was first learning.

The woman has an inspiring message for all her followers.

When Bright Side asked the stylist to define her idea of beauty, she didn’t hesitate for a moment and told us that she doesn’t think the key to a person’s beauty lies at the bottom of their makeup bag. Being beautiful, in her opinion, doesn’t come from a lipstick tube, mascara wand, or blush brush. Her message to all her admirers is to stay just the way they are: strong, compassionate, unique, and to always believe in themselves and what they’re capable of.

What kind of art would you try if you were to switch jobs one day?
