Chuck Norris Pays Unique Tribute to His 101-Year-Old Mom Who Bravely Raised 3 Sons on Her Own

Raising children and keeping a family together is not an easy thing to do, even as a couple. Wilma Norris is a living example that anything is possible. She showed great persistence throughout her life and was able to raise 3 sons on her own.

We can safely say that Chuck Norris is among the most iconic celebs of all time. He was born into poverty after his dad left them at an early age. The 82-year-old legend made a career out of martial arts, which later on led him to acting and starring in many action movies based on martial arts. He is the star of movies and TV series like Walker, Texas Ranger, The Way of the Dragon, Lone Wolf McQuade, Code of Silence, and many more.

The number one person in his life is his mother.

Chuck Norris is well-known to the general public because of his enormous collection of belts, multiple martial arts victories, and acting career. He may, however, be most proud of his roles as a loyal husband and a beloved son.

The actor mentioned many times that his mother has had the biggest influence on his life. He also talked about the huge strength and character she had her whole life. Wilma Norris raised 3 sons as a single mother, which was no easy task to do, especially back then when lone mothers weren’t treated very well by society.

His mom prayed for him when he “nearly lost his soul to Hollywood.”

In an interview with the Christian Post, he said, “My mother has prayed for me all my life, through thick and thin,” Norris explained. “When I was born, I almost died from complications. When nearly losing my soul to Hollywood a few decades ago, she was back home praying for my success and salvation. She even prayed for me to find a woman to change my life, and it worked.”

The actor honored both his mother and his wife, Gena, on Mother’s Day.

In an interesting twist of fate, his mother celebrated her 100th birthday on the same day as Mother’s Day, which gave her son the opportunity to say, “I love you, Mom! Happy 100th birthday!” as well as “Happy Mother’s Day!”

Norris dedicated a Facebook post to his mom and lovely wife, in which he paid tribute: “Happy Mother’s Day! And a special thank you to my lovely wife and mom for being the fantastic women and mothers they are. Mom and Gena... I love you both more than words can say.”

She turned 101 this year.

Even after going through many losses in life, Wilma Norris never broke. She celebrated her 101st birthday in May of this year. Norris paid tribute to her, according to Newsner, in which he talked about the difficulties she had to endure in her life.

“She’s had cancer repeatedly and has gone through roughly 30 different surgeries for a host of issues — and yet she’s still here to tell about it.”

Chuck couldn’t be more thankful for his life than he already is.

The actor has a lot to thank his family for, especially his mother, who helped him through everything. Chuck seems so grateful and always ready to be there for his own family. He tries to be at least as good a parent as his mother was to him. Wilma succeeded with her sons, she raised 3 successful gentlemen.
