Kate Hudson Revealed How Raising 3 Kids With Different Partners Helped Her to Have a Happy Family

Kate Hudson has learned how to navigate raising her 3 kids with “multiple dads.” Hudson herself is more than familiar with big, blended families. She has previously opened up about the importance of healthy co-parenting, and we couldn’t just stand by and not tell you about her family. So grab your cup of hot tea, and let’s see what we have today.

Kate Hudson has had a lot of famous relationships, but she’s only been married once. The Music star was married to Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2007. Since then, she revealed the intense highs and lows of their relationship, revealing it was quite “volatile” in the beginning. “We were so in love and passionate, and then we would just hate each other and throw stuff around, and then we would travel to Paris for a week.”

The couple separated in 2006. They officially divorced in October 2007, but Ryder, their son, has kept them connected.

Ever since their divorce, Kate Hudson and ex-husband Chris Robinson’s focus and priority have always been on their son Ryder: “For both Chris and me, our main focus is, and was, Ryder. And happy parents, happy baby,” Hudson told Harper’s Bazaar. “Therefore, I love Chris to pieces.”

Relationship with Matt Bellamy (2010–2014)

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy are the proud parents of their son, Bingham Bellamy. Since their breakup in 2014, the exes decided on a point of staying connected. “One thing that Matt said to me, which I loved, is, ’I just want to make sure that Bing feels like he’s gaining something, not losing something.’”

In an interview with Allure magazine, Kate Hudson spoke about her split from Matt Bellamy: “If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together,” the actress said after noting that “relationships ending are painful.”

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa got engaged in 2021. Fujikawa was the singer and guitarist for Los Angeles-based band Chief. The guitarist and Kate welcomed their daughter, Rani Rose, on Oct. 2, 2018.

The blended family spends a lot of time together and is regularly featured on Hudson’s Instagram account.

About her large family

In an interview with the Today show, Kate opened up about her blended family. “I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place,” she said with a laugh. “The only expectations I really have that are really high in my life is with my kids. And with, like, family stuff. Other than that, it’s like, I just let it go.”

Some days, Hudson admits that she just wants to hide in her bathroom. “I wanna be, like, ’Yeah, it’s so great, and we’re figuring it out,’ but the reality is that there are days that are great, and there are days that I have to remind myself to be grateful,” Hudson said.

Hudson has previously opened up about the importance of healthy co-parenting. “Kids just want to see their parents be cool,” she shared with Allure in 2015.
