14 Celebrities Who Don’t Mind Wearing the Same Outfit More Than Once
For most people, repeating a garment or even an entire outfit is pretty normal. This, for celebrities, is something they are not very used to. They usually have to wear different outfits all the time, as the paparazzi never rest. There are some exceptions, and those are moments when they leave us in awe with outfits that are definitely worth seeing on more than one occasion.
At Bright Side, we want to share with you this list of celebrities who proved that repeating a look is the most normal thing in the world.
1. Princess Diana
Princess Diana has always been a fashion icon, and moments like this one, when she modifies a dress and gives it a more modern look, make it super clear. In 1989 she wore this dress designed by Catherine Walker during a visit from the president of Nigeria in London.
In 1992, during her trip to Seoul, South Korea, we saw part of the dress again. She wore it with high-waisted pants in a similar lilac shade as the previous skirt.
2. Keira Knightley
She wore the dress in 2008.
It seems that Keira Knightley has a favorite dress, and we love it too. This Chanel model, created by Karl Lagerfeld, was worn by the actress for the first time in 2008. She wore it to the BAFTA Awards pre-party.
In 2013, she wore it at her wedding to James Righton. And a few months later, in December of the same year, she wore it on the red carpet at a charity event in London, England.
This is how she wore it again at a charity event in 2013.
Shakira left more than one fan surprised when she arrived at the wedding of soccer player Lionel Messi wearing the same dress she wore to a shoot for the Vanity Fair. In June 2017, she was part of this publication in Italy, and during the same month that those photos came to light, the singer decided that this was a dress worth repeating.
4. Meghan Markle
She wore the dress in 2018.
For Meghan Markle, being part of the British royals meant adapting to one of the most common habits of her new family: repeating outfits. During her visit to Tonga in 2018, the Duchess of Sussex wore a casual look with a blue dress by designer Veronica Beard. A year later, in 2019, the dress resurfaced, accompanied by a hairstyle with loose hair and dark-colored shoes.
And she wore it again a year later, in 2019.
5. Eva Mendes
Eva Mendes would take first place in a competition of who can wear a dress again in the shortest amount of time. In 2010, the actress showed up to a preview party for the movie Last Night in Rome, Italy, wearing this Versace dress. The next day she wore the same dress for the red carpet of the International Rome Film Festival.
6. Victoria Beckham
She wore a white suit in 2019.
The person who leaves many people surprised when she repeats an outfit is Victoria Beckham, as it is something that almost never happens. The singer and fashion designer was part of the 2019 GQ Man of the Year awards event, where we saw her in a white suit, very natural makeup, and tiny accessories.
In 2020 she wore a similar outfit — this time it was one that she designed herself, but it had details that made it unique: she paired it with a shirt with flounces on the front and a black bow.
She wore an almost identical one in 2020.
7. Anna Wintour
She wore her coat on February 11, 2012.
If Anna Wintour repeats a garment, why can’t we? The editor-in-chief of Vogue wore this animal print coat during New York Fashion Week in 2012. We first spotted her at the Alexander Wang show earlier in the week. 7 days later, she wore the same coat, now in London, during an event for designer Stella McCartney.
She repeated it a week later, on February 18, 2012.
8. Kim Kardashian
This silk dress by Kim Kardashian has witnessed 2 important events for the celebrity. She first wore it in 2014, during a wedding she attended with her family and her then-boyfriend, Kanye West. A year later the famous dress returned and she wore it during a ceremony that the Armenian Bar Association held in honor of her father, Robert G. Kardashian.
9. Deepika Padukone
She used the dress in 2012.
Deepika Padukone is a Bollywood model and actress who has proven that anywhere in the world is worth repeating a look if it looks as good on you as this one. She wore it for the Vogue Beauty Awards in 2012, and in 2017 she wore an almost identical one during the Oscars party held by Vanity Fair.
She wore a very similar one in 2017.
10. Helena Bonham Carter
In 2011, Helena Bonham Carter arrived at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in this black and white lace dress that she wore again a year later, in 2012, for the opening ceremony of the London Film Festival. Her looks are always stunning, so we love when she repeats them.
11. Busy Philipps
Busy Philipps gave a special touch to the trend of reusing clothes. For her show Busy Tonight, the actress and director decided to wear her wedding dress and share on her social networks that 12 years after her wedding, the dress still fits her almost perfectly.
12. Priyanka Chopra
The actress who made Bollywood and Nick Jonas fall in love was also a protagonist of this trend. Priyanka Chopra wore, for the second time, the dress from one of her 3 wedding ceremonies for the cover of Vogue magazine’s Netherlands edition. No doubt this is a very special way to always remember her wedding day.
13. Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale knows that layering garments is the best way to re-wear them and make them look like a completely different look. This time she wore a basic black top with a very casual style to something more formal for the premiere of her movie The Unicorn.
14. Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton knows that re-wearing an outfit is all the rage, and she proves it with a signature red coat. She first wore it to a Christmas mass in 2018. 2 years later, on Commonwealth Day 2020, she re-wore it and even wore the same shoes. Mind you, the accessories were completely different.
Do you have outfits that you repeat over and over again? Why? What is it about them that you like so much?
