I love rescues, even people that volunteer for rescues will say that there are plenty of dogs more suited for certain environments, work schedules, space, etc. This is an excellent list and set of descriptions.

Do not promote Basset hounds or Pugs. The breeding of that specific look, leaves them with a lot of medical problems. Yes, Greyhounds can be a couch potato, but they are natural born runners, and most of them require a lot of exercise. Boxers are working dogs, and need stimulation both mentally and physically. And some mastiffs are protective and needs an owner who knows how to manage that in socialization and training.

what kind of problems do pugs have? My friend have 2 pugs and those little guys are just normal
