Queen Elizabeth ll led a fruitful life directly under the public eye, devoted to public service. Becoming a monarch at age 25 was surely not an easy task for such a young lady. However, slowly but steadily, Her Majesty fit into the role she was given and became a symbol of stability loved by many.

Queen Elizabeth ll was born on April 21, 1926, with the title Princess Elizabeth of York as the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York.

No one was aware that this little girl would one day sit on the throne and achieve great things as her uncle, King Edward VIII, was next in line to the throne.

In 1936, King Edward Vlll abdicated the throne to marry a divorced woman, making his brother, Queen Elizabeth ll’s father, George Vl, a king.

King George Vl and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, didn’t have a son, so their oldest daughter was the next heir to the throne.

According to a royal expert, Daisy McAndrew, that’s partly why she wore festive, bright colors for public appearances.

She was quite small, so some years ago, her dressers decided that it would be helpful if she wore vibrant colors so that people could spot her easily.

Nevertheless, we can see that she enjoyed wearing the outfits and all the matching hats, so it might have also been a personal preference.

Her reign of 70 years and 214 days is the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female sovereign in history.

Queen Elizabeth ll will always have a place in our hearts, and we will remember her for the strong woman she was until her last days. What’s the thing you will remember her by?
