In the movie, Forrest’s mother states her life philosophy, “Life is like a box of chocolates” years before he narrates the story. Since Forrest is referring to a past event, he says his mother always said: “Life was like a box of chocolates,” changing the present tense to past tense.

Many people seem to remember Kit Kat having a hyphen, making it “Kit-Kat,” but there has never been one. Consumers from around the world insist that they have, in fact, seen it, making them experience the phenomenon.
