14 Details Most of Us Missed in The Big Bang Theory

year ago

During 12 seasons spanning more than a decade, the cast of The Big Bang Theory has charmed many of us with their quirks and nerdy humor. But no matter how carefully we rewatch the episodes, sometimes we still miss important scenes and details in the show. From foreshadowing to clever Easter eggs, some people with an eagle eye have discovered details that many of us have overlooked.

We at Bright Side made a list of 14 Easter eggs that made us appreciate and miss the show even more.

1. The color of Sheldon’s T-shirts mirrors his emotions. Red means he’s angry, blue means he’s sad, orange means he’s greedy, yellow means he’s afraid, and purple means he feels in love.

2. Amy’s apartment door number is the same as the first 3 digits of the number Pi, and also Albert Einstein’s birthday (March 14).

3. The clothes the characters are cleaning in the laundry room match the outfits they wore in the previous episode.

4. Bernadette’s voice changes during the show from deep to high-pitched. Actress Melissa Rauch was inspired by her own mother’s tone.

5. Sheldon’s favorite number is 73, and we learn the reason why in episode 73: because it has some very unique properties, like being the 21st prime number, for example.

6. The outfits in Amy’s painting match the clothes Penny and Amy were wearing in the earlier episode: The Vacation Solution.

7. Penny’s fridge is full of Easter eggs: real photos taken of Kaley Cuoco with members of the cast but also workers on the set of the series.

8. Amy has 2 moms: the character was recast in season 11 from Annie O’Donnell to Cathy Bates.

9. Stuart’s comic book store had a real website set up under the domain thecomiccenter.com. Unfortunately, it’s not online anymore.

10. The creators of the show employed a physicist to make sure that all the equations in the show were accurate, except in one episode where they were deliberately incorrect.

11. Howard’s ringtone was almost chosen as the theme song of the show. The song is called She Blinded Me With Science.

12. The psychic Penny took Sheldon to foretold his Nobel prize win once he committed to Amy.

13. The always broken elevator finally gets fixed in the last episode.

14. Howard wears various interesting belt buckles, and in the last episode he’s wearing the atom from the show’s logo.

Who was your favorite character on The Big Bang Theory? Did you catch any of these Easter eggs when watching the show?

I *thought* Amy’s mother changed, but I hadn’t gone back to rewatch to see.
